Pittsburgh Polamalu's @ Tom's Patriots

AutomatikI saw another that had them taking Mike Evans. I don't really see the need for a WR that early, but wouldn't mind that at all.

BR1986FBMost I've seen, except for the one with Hundley, had them going O-Line.

Last time I remember thinking about the draft this early was when they picked BR.Automatik;1529128 wrote:It's a weird feeling to be looking forward to the draft at this point in the season. They should be in position to take someone solid with their first pick.
This draft has loads of talent, I'm hoping the get it right.
Even when they were 6-10 I remember each week, until much later, thinking they could go on a win streak and make the playoffs.
I dont get into the draft alot in terms of what players they should get. I dont pay attention to CFB in that way. I do though just know what they need to get......OL should be the first priority. You would not believe what a good OL will do.
I could see LeBeau retiring, but could aslo see him coming back one more season to get this season out of his mind. WOuld not put it past the steelesr to actually go with an asst DC next year and then LeBeau retiring. -

This, and they actually have to hit on their picks.BR1986FB;1529124 wrote:This is where your problem lies. With the fact that Pittsburgh doesn't spend big in FA, this "fix" for them won't be quick. I'd expect seasons like this to be the norm, rather than the exception, until they sufficiently reload through the draft. -
thavoiceThey havent hit on many good ones lately. Tomlin also has been slow to give the reigns over to many newcomers since he has come alot. Under Cowher it seemed like every other year there was a rookie coming in that played alot and was re energizing the respective unit. Maybe the more misses than hits has lead to that, who knows.

One really has to wonder if Tomlin has what it takes to rebuild this franchise. It is "easy" to come into a situation he came in to and win, but what happens when you have the responsibility to build and coach up the team?
Some steeler fans I know didnt like MT from the start, mostly because he was black, but I supported him because, well, the rooney's know wha tthey are doing much more that I do and figured they would pick the right guy. Sure looked like it early on and still may be the case, but he has to get this thing turned around. He has been to two SB's and won one, but unless he can be successful with a team that has his fingerprints all over it then people will increasingly call for his head.
