    Lower it.

Great season by the pirates. They have some interesting decisions in the offseason just like the reds. Luckily hurdle will still be there. He seems to make a lot of the same in game mistakes that baker did.

He's very similar to Dusty but he has his guys playing hard and with passion and he'll go out and tear the ump's ass aplenty.

The 3 best teams have advanced. Detroit and Verlander seal it off tomorrow.

All I want from the reds manager.

Light a fire in these guys.

I really do like Verlander....but he needs to stop it now.

When they were up 2-1 in the series, the A's should have closed it out. They choked

They choked it away during game 4. They had so many opportunities to win and close that game/series out and they shit themselves.

With that being said, are all Detroit fans annoying douches? Also this ALCS is the most unbearable ALCS I have ever seen. Can they just tie?

Not only can they not tie....but each game will snail crawl well past midnight. Boston goes about 8 pitches per AB it seems and their pitchers kill about 45 seconds between pitches.

I hope it is a 4 game sweep with 4 blowouts from the early innings.....because I'll be dumb enough to find a reason to watch.

Dodgers/Cardinals.....will watch and expecting it to be a very good series.

I will only watch the 9th innings of the Boston/Detroit series...and only if its close. That is going to be ungodly slow and annoying. I would envision it being more unwatchable than the BOS/NYY games because its the playoffs. You can probably add about 15 seconds per pitch thrown...

Nice catch and throw to double off Jay.

    To the 8th

Great play by the Cards to keep the game at 2-2 on the doubling throw by Beltran to get Ellis for the 3rd out at home to end the 10th for the Dodgers!

Thanks for doing that, sorry I was too late to get into either! I would have taken the Cards and Tigers for 500 and the Cards for 1000.

Ellis AB in the 12th, Dodgers were lucky the 0-1 pitch was called a ball, which let him try to bunt the rest of the AB, then when he got it down Adams not letting it go foul. Adams had a bailout with Carpenter coming over to cover 1st to let it roll and let Carpenter pick it up for the tag if it still didn't go foul in time. But Young hits into an inning ending DP to end the threat.

    Great game by Beltran!
  • mhs95_06
Should the Cards make the WS, I wonder if Craig will be able to DH?
  • Ironman92
Screw the Cardinals....I'd bet anything the pitch to Hanley's ribs was intentional. Trying to get in his head to start the series in hopes that he won't dominate like he has been.

If the Cards get a big lead in this series Carpenter, Holliday or Molina may get the payback.
  • mhs95_06
Cards fail on a big opportunity to score in the first off Kershaw, with the lead-off triple! Beltran takes a shot on the first pitch and has a rare post season failure, and Holliday can't pick him up by making RBI contact at all, then Molina fails at picking them both up by not getting a 2 out hit.
  • mhs95_06
In the 5th, the Cards again get the lead-off batter to 3rd with no out. Fatt Adams fails to get him in and Ks, even though he was ahead 3-0 and got to swing at the 3-0 pitch, but then Jay gets a SF to LF to get the RBI to stake the Cards to a 1-0 lead and now they need 12 outs. Wacha has allowed but 2 basreunners, both on hits, and has thrown 79 pitches thru 5.
  • mhs95_06
Wacha with a great job in the 6th after getting into a no out and 2nd and 3rd situation. He gets a pop up, then an IBB, then two Ks. Lots of high stress pitches in that inning and he's up to 100 now.
