  I'd actually prefer Danny Salazar. The kid's stuff is electric but my concern would be whether he had the mindset/was mature enough for the role. Kid already gets it up into the high 90's. Working one inning the adrenaline is probably going to give him anoth 2-3 mph on his fastball.

  Honestly, between the two guys it wouldn't matter to me. Salazar has given up 7 HR's in 10 starts. His fastball is electric but he would have to continue to have the change up working for me to have faith in the rookie at the end of the game.

  Salazar is going to be starting, no doubt about it. Even in a 4 man rotation he is probably out #2 or #3 behind Ubaldo and Kluber. No way you take him out of the rotation for Kazmir and McCallister.

  I said this with the assumption that Masterson would be back in the rotation. I'd have no issue with Masterson closing either but I doubt they do much in the playoffs, if they even make it, without Masterson in the rotation.

  If there's one positive to the whole Perez thing, it's that while my diehard Cleveland fan co-worker is out of the office, I was able to print off a large pic of Perez to tape to his computer so it's the first thing he sees when he gets back. Putting the over/under on curses directed towards me when he gets back at 3.

  He is my #1 choice for next year. I dont want to throw him to the fire right now though. He has been in the 7th inning role for the majority of the year, and has been good to great. Id rather go by feel/match-ups.
