Regardless, booing is dumb. I'm sure it was the guys that had been drinking and tailgating and are just so invested but how about some patience? What was it late in the first quarter? Under-performing at your job? No one is going to boo you for under-performing from 9:00-11:00, especially if you are giving the effort.....and if your boss was tearing your ass for 1/4 a day's performance when you were the top worker in your office, you'd be pissed as would all of us.
As for thicker skin....if booing shouldn't bother him then him defending his offensive teammates shouldn't bother you or any other Bengals fan. I'd much rather he defend them than jump on the boo wagon and start blaming them.

If you think Dalton was getting booed based on one quarter, then I don't know what to tell you. It stems back through the past few games and probably even seasons, after watching multiple playoff losses where he looks absolutely miserable. No one has the patience or faith to watch him throw stupid interceptions to Haden. The defense stepped up and helped him out, because it didn't look like he was going to put together many scoring drives early on. I think after the previous loss to the Browns, I asked the other guys if they thought the Bengals could win big with Dalton and collectively everyone thought no.
You took my example a little to literal. No one at the office is going to get booed, but they're also not going to receive great support when they consistently underachieve. Idk what you mean by "top worker in your office" -- he may be the starter over Johnson and Robinson, but compared to the rest of the team, he's definitely the weakest link.
