I couldve dealt with a 1-2 record. But not a sweep. Certainly not a sweep when we average 1 run a game.BRF;1493370 wrote:T-Bone was fired?

I am taking over as a Mod. Hopefully I am starting the playoff thread in a month! -
GhmothwdwhsoBig Tribe fan here, but the Tribe is done. Bats are weak.
They had so many chances to gain some games, I hate to say that their run has ended. -

You know they will win 8/10 at some point. I would bet big money they have a chance at the wild card the last week of the year.
So streaky.
Plus, the schedule they have left is weak, and while they are sucking, no one is running away with it. On that same note, the other contenders could easily play .500 ball the rest of the way, they have some tough games. -
WallyTigers got a big walk-off win yesterday to keep from getting swept by the A's. Miggy left the game…not sure what his status is. The A's abused the Tigers starting pitching…..Indians may have caught the Tigers at a good time.

sportswizuhrdIndians acquired Jason Kubel from the D-Backs and will owe him 2.25 Mill for the remainder of the year.

Wrong forum. This would be the Pro Sports forum. I know who you are referring to and this is partially why I am singling you out for negativity. Haha.vball10set;1493418 wrote:One more day...
But really, enjoy the final month of the season, many fans would love to be in your position of having their team 4 games out of a playoff spot. Your team makes a semi big pickup(not based on his numbers for this year but moreso his past numbers) and you want to post something irrelevant about a college football team. I am guessing other people have overlooked it since you have said the number of days for quite a while. Like I said, enjoy it, the Tribe were not supposed to be this good until next year.
As for this series, I really wish Mario Impemba and Rick Manning were calling this on TV and because they are not, whenever I tune in, the mute button will be hit. -

He did hit 30 HR's and drove in 90 last year...why not (other than his struggles this year)?iclfan2;1493477 wrote:lol desperation...
EDIT: Not an Indians fan, but he did have his best years in the AL and will help the offense out assuming he is healthy again. In the article I read, he was released because of his D, that can be solved by putting him at DH sometimes. -
iclfan2Why not? Because his average was still average in 12, and he hasn't done anything of value this year. "After signing a two-year deal as a free agent in 2011, Kubel was the everyday left fielder last season and hit .253 while leading the offense with 30 home runs and 90 RBIs. This season he was the victim of a crowded outfield and was nagged by injuries to his left knee and quad. In 89 appearances, Kubel hit .220 with five home runs and 32 RBIs." We have enough mediocre players on the team. I mean why not, since it is only Dolan's money, but seems like they're just throwing shit at the wall and hoping something sticks.

Dr. KnOiTaLLThe Indians have been incredibly disappointing during the second half of the season. It seems like they always come out of the gates hot, and then sputter in the second half. Not only have they had an easy schedule in the second half, but they have barely demonstrated subsistence over the last few weeks. It's disheartening to see this happen every year.
-
Laley23Id rather Morales, but Kubel is still an upgrade in all honesty, despite his numbers this year. He cant help us score less runs, thats for sure.

bases_loadedWith the sweep in Atlanta, this is shaping up perfect to be the last weekend I give a shit about the Tribe.

HitsRusA win tonite would be huge....a series win would be huge. I think we need to be aggressive against the Tigers.

We have been saying that forever. I doubt it changes.HitsRus;1493560 wrote:A win tonite would be huge....a series win would be huge. I think we need to be aggressive against the Tigers.
And it goes beyond the SB. We have a few guys who can control the bat (Kipnis, Swisher and Brantley) that we should be doing a lot more hit and runs with. Create some more holes for these guys struggling. Anything!!! -
Glory Daysmaybe if we treat them like the billboard monsters on the Simpsons and "just don't look" they will actually start to play better. whenever its a must win and everyone gets excited, they suck ass. I expect a sweep and Miggy has 5 HRs from a wheel chair.
-
HitsRusIt just seems like they are playing 'tight'...close to the vest.
-
FootwedgeOnly a sweep will keep the chances alive.

wes_mantoothLol....this is just comical anymore.
