Rangers vs the Tribe series thread

Glory DaysNow that it is 4-0, i say leave him in one more with someone warming up in the pen. Perez pitched 3 innings in the past 2 days, probably wont see him. so might as well save the pen.
-
TBone144 huge 2 out runs so far today. My favorite lineup is when both Santana and Gomes are in there.
Phillies led Detroit 3-0 after they batted in the 5th. Now 6-3 Detroit in the bottom of the 6th and Tigers still have bases loaded. -
Dr. KnOiTaLLI'd send him out for the 8th with a 4-0 lead.
-
Laley23Yeah, now you let him go through the 8th unless he gets in trouble.
Those 3 runs made the decision pretty easy for Tito. -

I should be an MLB manager. After all, I do "knoitall" hahaLaley23;1479480 wrote:Yeah, now you let him go through the 8th unless he gets in trouble.

royal_kThey may let him finish now. He's breezing.
-
Laley23Nah, Ubaldo is done.
6-0 now with an Aviles HR.
Id let Cody Allen or Pestano go out and get some work in today. -
Dr. KnOiTaLL
I doubt we see Allen or Perez. They've both pitched each of the last two. Probably not Joe Smith either.Laley23;1479484 wrote:Nah, Ubaldo is done.

BRFWhat the hell is going on here lately?!!!

Allen didnt pitch last night. Only 4 times in the last 16 days...Dr. KnOiTaLL;1479485 wrote:I doubt we see Allen or Perez. They've both pitched each of the last two. Probably not Joe Smith either. -
royal_kNice sweep. The rotation is pitching unbelievable right now

Laley23But, its all moot. Pestano works around a lead-off walk with a GIDP and K.
2nd straight shutout of Texas. This was a fantastic series after what looked like a series opening crushing defeat. Gotta love it.
Swisher is starting to hit. Cabrera has been much better in the 4 hole. Kipnis continues to deliver big blows. Gomes and Raburn are killing it in spot start duty. Very few holes at the moment. Still not a juggernaught on offense. But the glaring weaknesses of Swish, Chiz and Asdrubal are looking a lot better since Tito switched swish and Asdrubal. -
vball10setWell done, royal_k, you're up again...fwiw, I like the lineup we had today, and the only change I'd make would be to insert Reynolds in for Chiz against lefties...GO TRIBE!!!

Swisher and Cabrera have been too good of hitters to continue at the pace they were on. I had a feeling Cabrera would come out swinging after the break.Laley23;1479492 wrote:But, its all moot. Pestano works around a lead-off walk with a GIDP and K.

Dr. KnOiTaLLThank goodness for our starting rotation. Too bad Detroit's bats went off in the absence of Cabrera today (he got tossed early).

We never had a chance with the pitchers the Phils threw out there lol. Hamels was good, but that was the 1 chance they had. Sucks the Tigers missed Cliff Lee.Dr. KnOiTaLL;1479497 wrote:Thank goodness for our starting rotation. Too bad Detroit's bats went off in the absence of Cabrera today (he got tossed early). -

Obviously... every game is important at this point...but the next 4 days are huge. We have 4 with the White Sox...who are hot garbage right now. They can't score...only twice in the last 7 have they scored more than 2 runs and one of those games was 3. A sweep would be nice...but at home, we have to get 3 of 4. Meanwhile...Tigers get the inconsistent Nats. Hopefully they stub their toes and drop 2 of 3 to them. -
wes_mantoothNice of Philly to not mail it in...lol

Reynolds cant hit lefties either. We are winning without him and lets face it he completley bombed this season.vball10set;1479493 wrote:Well done, royal_k, you're up again...fwiw, I like the lineup we had today, and the only change I'd make would be to insert Reynolds in for Chiz against lefties...GO TRIBE!!!
