Top NBA Players by Position

And ya, Carter is a huge reach but I just threw him in as a filler since SG doesn't seem like that strong of a position at the moment and no one else really jumped out either. I suppose you could put Manu instead (but his play-offs really hurts his argument), or you could say OJ Mayo. But by the numbers Carter isn't really all that bad.

Also, regarding my SG's... I think Wade pre-playoffs injury was top in the league. But if he can't overcome the ailments that were killing his game in the playoffs then he shouldn't be top 5. Harden might be considered the top SG in the game next season with Kobe out for a lot of it and depending on how Wade responds. Not bad for a player barely in the top 26.

Kobe will be playing opening night

I don't see any reason he should besides him trying to push for numerical achievements? He has an injury that is normally a career killer. He should take his time, do the rehab properly and let the Lakers tank so they have a shot of getting a great pick this next season. Even with Kobe they probably aren't a play-off team this year.

If there's anyone whose going to do rehab properly it's Kobe. He won't play until he's ready. And it sounds like he'll be ready opening night. I posted on the other thread, opening night will be 7 months from the injury, and it's a 6-9 month recovery I guess.

Oh, I thought I remember people saying he'd miss the first two months of the season (which corresponds to the longer end of the spectrum you say). We'll see I guess.

At this stage of his career I dk if I can put him in the top 5. If it was 3-5 years ago no doubt he would be number 1. I really debated between him and west

I put Kyrie number 1 bc I think this year he really explodes and becomes a force now that he has a solid team around him.

I'm not ready to call Leonard top 5 yet, but by next season I'd be willing to make that statement if he continues to progress and doesn't have a slump. ESP since he'll be asked to do a lot more this season I'd imagine.

Haha I just didn't really know who else to put there. I've always been a huge Leonard fan since he was at SDSU.
