    Well yeah.
  • Dan Gilbert
PG: CP3/Parker/Westbrook/Rose. Irving and Curry tied for me at the 5th spot.
  • Laley23
    PG - Paul (Irving)
    SG - Kobe (Harden)
    SF -LeBron (Durant)
    PF - Love (Duncan)
    C -Gasol (Hibbert)

Id have George as the #1 SG, cause he plays there a lot with the Pacers big line-up. But he is a SF by trade.

You asked for top 5 at each position so I'll play along with my thoughts

PG: LBJ, Kyrie, D. Rose, CP3, Curry (though I hate his def, I could be persuaded to put Westbrook here instead of him, shocked that Dwill isn't on this list. Ability wise he should be #1)
SG: LBJ, Harden, Klay Thompson, Kobe by default and I can't think of a 5th that deserves to even be in the convo.
SF: LBJ, Durant, Paul Pierce (I guess), Melo although I don't like his game. Doesn't play Def AT ALL. Man this like SG is a bad crop in the NBA at the moment. If we're talking potential/which player I wantt o build around etc the list grows.
PF:LaMarcus Aldridge, Tim Duncan, ZeeBo, Ibaka, Al Horford
C: Tim Duncan, Marc Gasol, Joakim Noah, Al Horford

PF/C were the toughest to chose. SG/SF is a weak position in today's NBA.

PG: Parker, CP3, DWill, DRose, Westbrook
SG: Kobe, Harden, Wade, Manu, Kevin Martin
SF: Lebron, Durant, Paul George, Melo, Pierce
PF: Duncan, Kevin Love, Pau, Dirk, Zach Randolph
C: D12, Marc Gasol, Bynum, Brook Lopez, Noah

good call on Paul George, oversight on my part. I'd add him to my list. the fact that you even have Kevin Martin in your SG spot and I can't completely make fun of you for showcases how terrible that position is in the NBA atm. You should take huim off and add Klay Thompson though. It's not even a debate who is better.

I left out some really good players, Garnett, Aldridge, Bosh, Horford. SG is definitely the most shallow position when ranking players. This was tougher to do then I thought it would be.

Ehh i'm not sure, when Kevin Martin was in a position similar to Klay he averaged 25 a game one year, and 24 a game two other years and shoots it just as well if not better than Klay does. I Like Klay a lot though and he could surpass what KMart did, not sold however because Curry has the keys to that team. Klay averaged 17 a game last year as basically the second option(him or David Lee), Martin averaged 14 as a VERY distant third option behind Durant and Westbrook, I wouldn't say it's not a debate to say who is better.

PG: CP3, Parker, Kyrie, DROSE, Westbrook( prob a nat SG, but plays mostly PG for thunder)
SG: Wade, Kobe, Harden, Curry, (ray allen?)
SF: Lebron, Durant, Melo, George, Pierce
PF: Duncan, Dirk, L Aldrige, A horford, Bosh,
C: Howard, P Gasol, Bynum, Hibbert, M Gasol

Man that 5th SG spot was tough. I picked Ray allen because talent wise I think he is still a top 5 SG just with a reduced role. I just couldnt pick Monta Ellis, he just doesnt make his teams better.
  • Laley23
    Curry is a PG.

Yahoo has him as a combo, I put him at SG for this list
  • Hb31187
PG- CP3, Kyrie, Rose, Parker, Westbrook
SG Harden, Kobe, Thompson, Wade, Jamal Crawford( The sg position has nooooo depth as stated, and he had a pretty good year)
SF Melo, Bron, Durant, George, Pierce
PF Duncan, Love, Aldridge, Zbo, P Gasol
    C , Hibbert, D12, Lopez, Noah, M Gasol

    These aren't in order

COA, I'm prefacing my list by saying I completely agree with you about LBJ, but am only going to include him at SF.

    *If healthy*

PG: CP3, Kyrie, Rose, Westbrook, Parker (so tough to leave off Curry)
SG: Kobe, Harden, Wade......Klay, then I guess either Kevin Martin or JR Smith
SF: Lebron, George, Carmelo, Durant, Jimmy Butler
PF: Duncan, Love, Aldridge, Bosh, Randolph
C: M. Gasol, Bynum, Howard, Chandler, Noah

I feel similarly confident in Butler's breakout this year as I did with Harden before last year, obviously won't be to the same extent, as the SF position is somewhat weak and there's a huge gap between the top 4 and everyone else.

Parker is a good call, he was legit in the MVP discussion this past season. hmmmm

PF: Duncan, Love, Aldridge, Bosh, Randolph
C: M. Gasol, Bynum, Howard, Chandler, Noah
I have never seen Faried play the 3, Jimmy Butler over Pierce? Interesting, Thad Young, Danilo, Khawi Leonard, Kirilenko and Josh Smith are all better.
  • Me?
I'm with Commander, LeBron is the best at 3 positions, but I won't play it that way...

PG: CP3, Rondo, Parker, Rose, (tie) Westbrook/Williams
SG: Kobe, Wade, Harden, Iggy, Crawford
SF: LeBron, Durant, George, Melo, ...maybe Pierce still?
PF: Duncan, Love, ZBo, Aldridge, Lee
C: Dwight, Gasol, Noah, Lopez, Bynum if healthy.

He played the 3, very very very very sparingly this year. Spent most of his time at the 4, but dont doubt lhs, hes the resident basketball genius

Joe Johnson might even squeak in at the end of the SG list. And the more I think about it, give me Granger or Deng over Pierce for the 5th SF spot at this point.

Personal opinion. My list is also forward thinking, watch his role expand this year with AI gone

If he plays the position that sparingly he shouldn't qualify for the position, even if he did he wouldn't be a top 5 SF in the game, not close.

Fair enough. I tried to find a spot for him since he wasn't making the PF list. I'll edit
