Tribe vs. Blue Jays (Series Thread)
-
Laley23Well, the Tribe stays at home to take on the surging Jays in the second to last series before the Mid-Summer Classic.
Frankly, they were lucky to even get a win versus the almighty Tigers, but they did.
I'm hoping they finish the 1st half strong and with some luck, to be within 3 games of the Tigers.
Match-ups:
Johnson (1-3) vs. Jiminez (6-4)
Rogers (3-4) vs. Masterson (10-7)
Buehrle (5-5) vs. Salazar (0-0)
Salazar is the rumored starter. Dont think anything has been announced officially though. -
BRFHa, you were typing this up as I made my last post!

Crimson streakI said at the beginning of the year if we are within 3-5 games at the all star break we got a good chance with our second half schedule. The tribe are rumored to be looking at garza and gallardo to compliment masterson in the rotation. I would prefer garza since he has had good success in the al.

ohiobucks1Would love to get Garza. Hell lets get Garza and gallardo

It's being rumored that we would give up carrasco for garza. I'd be ok with that -
Commander of AwesomeI expect another sweep. Pitching sucks and our bats have gone silent.

If that's all it takes I'd make the deal in a snap. How many years left on Garza's 'tractCrimson streak;1469954 wrote:It's being rumored that we would give up carrasco for garza. I'd be ok with that -
ohiobucks1and yes, I just wrote 'tract... I hate myself , too

Laley23I think Garza is a FA after this season. But I would do that deal in a heartbeat. I want Garza and Crain more than anyone else on the block (that is attainable, that is)
-
Laley23As I google to confirm he is a FA this summer, I see that cubs are takin extension with him lol

I heard it's Bauer...and that he may get a chance to stick in the rotation.Salazar is the rumored starter. Dont think anything has been announced officially though. -
vball10setAnyone else like to see Brantley leading off and playing CF over Bourn? IMO he takes pitchers deeper into the count and makes better contact than Bourn, and in the outfield takes better angles and gets to balls better as well. Bourn has more speed, but I think he should've gotten to at least one, if not both, of the balls hit for doubles last night.

No way in hell. Bourn is arguably the best defensive center fielder in the game. Brantley no way gets to those balls last night. I actually like Brantley in the 5 spot. Very good with risp -
TBone14Tribe down to their last 18 outs to not get perfect gamed.

We must not have been watching the same game then. Both those balls were smoked. Victor's in extra innings Bourn was plying in a bit with the runner on 2nd and he got a pretty good jump on it and almost ran it down. I don't think anyone gets to that ball in the majors except for maybe mike trout. Peraltas was a line shot -
ohiobucks1Where was that last night?
-
Laley23
I don't wanna bring the conversation to this thread, but that is also the difference between a veteran who has been around like bourn and Chiz. Bourn did that on his own, which I thought Chiz should've regardless of what Tito put on.ohiobucks1;1470058 wrote:Where was that last night? -
