Seattle Mariners at Cincinnati Reds - Game 87/162

Latos on the Hill for the Reds against Jeremy Bonderman. Another great pitching match-up for the Reds, but we see how that worked last night. I'm shocked Jeremy Bonderman is still in the MLB...

And I'm shocked Aaron Harang is still in the league.

    HR by Seager....

Make this team go oppo....goodness they are pulling HR like we like to.
  • Ironman92
Not greatly efficient (21 pitches) and gave up a HR

Maybe, just maybe we score 5 or 6 runs today

Bonderman is bad. We need to knock him around

Bright sun here in Marietta, but rain training to the N to Cincy. Hopefully, not heavy enough to stop play and Latos will get in a groove and get to pitch at least 6 innings without weather delay.

    ^^ it's raining there now

    Zoo man up

Good jump by Bruce to take 2nd and take away the DP.
  • Ironman92
Hannahan purposely pulls ball to get runner to 3rd.....
  • Ironman92
    Good God Bruce....WTH??????
  • Ironman92
Bruce was a skipped ball off of wet grass from getting thrown out on a single when he was on 3rd. Lol

Izturis found green in the OF and almost didn't get credit for a hit. I think Bruce held out too long for the possibility of a short SF!

    Lol....you think?

Official scorer is just horrible. Horrible.
  • Ironman92
Hanigan swings at two pitches that were just so far off the plate it's funny.

    On what count?

Tough play for Bruce though. If he leaves early and it's caught, he doesn't score. Has to stay to make sure the ball wasn't caught.

    He scored so all good

If caught, he wasn't going to go, or prudently shouldn't have tried. So get off so you will surely score if it falls.

He was ONLY going to catch that ball sliding or diving, in which Bruce could have easily tagged and scored.

It's the reason you check the position of every outfielder before each pitch when running the bases. Jay Bruce has seen a lot of balls off of bats and he read it horribly. He can't tag if it's caught.....he should've been 75 feet away instead of 90.

Lord knows Chris Speier wasn't helping. He's not allowed to move, speak or make any gestures.

Walk by Latos hurts bad. Because BP moved up into DP position chavez was able to get it past him and then Seager doesn't use a lot of pitches like he normally does when he sees one he can easily get a SF on.
  • Ironman92
Latos isn't really doing any better than Leake did but no way does Dusty pull Latos at 70 pitches.
  • Ironman92
    Zoo boy with a double.

Bonderman was trying to exchange balls and It's swung and popped it up.
  • mhs95_06
Latos hit that one in the exact right spot to score Hanigan from first to tie it.
