Buccos @ Redlegs - Game 1
-
sherm03Pittsburgh finally has to take on Cincy at GABP.
Should be a good pitching match-up.
Let's hope the Reds don't suck. -
SportsAndLadyWe can't beat the Pirates for whatever reason. Buccos take 3 of 4, and Game 1.

Huh? Reds took 2 of 3 last series (and the game they lost was one where they jumped out early and then just put it in cruise control). They should be 3-3 against the Pirates this year so far. Which isn't bad considering all 6 games have been at PNC.SportsAndLady;1458760 wrote:We can't beat the Pirates for whatever reason. Buccos take 3 of 4, and Game 1.
Have you been drinking again tonight? -

Well now my reverse psych, which has been really, really clutch lately, is now ruined. Now the Pirates actually will take 3 of 4 from us. Thanks, Sherm.sherm03;1458766 wrote:Huh? Midstate01God damnit sherm!

Ironman92Pirates pitchers combine for a 9 hit 3 run shutout.
-
sherm03Eh. I'm not worried about it.
-
Terry_TateSon of a bitch sherm. Shit, I just hope the Reds don't lose all 4 now.

Azubuike24Liriano vs Leake, advantage Pirates
Morton vs Latos, advantage Reds
Locke vs Arroyo, advantage Pirates
Cumpton vs Bailey, advantage unknown (never seen the guy throw and Bailey has struggled lately)
Wouldn't be surprised if this series was split. -
Heretic
Bailey NEVER struggles against the Pirates, though, or at least it seems that way. Cumpton's got potential, but he's probably in the "not ready for the big league" club. Up more because it was his turn to start, so rotations didn't have to be altered, than anything else.Azubuike24;1458845 wrote:Liriano vs Leake, advantage Pirates

Morton's start will be interesting if for no other reason than with the current kinda-bad blood between the two teams (what, with the 357045 hit batters over the past three series they've played against each other), his control issues should make things interesting. Think he hit 3 or 4 guys in his first start. -
Ironman92Need not worry Sherm. I had too many ".'s" and some went off the same on me...then they won 3 in a row.

Ironman92Jerry Manuel on the Rundown on MLB Network saying how great of a manager Dusty is and the tactics he uses and his aggressiveness translates well to the playoffs.

Jerry Manuel dominated in the playoffs when he managed too...Ironman92;1459004 wrote:Jerry Manuel on the Rundown on MLB Network saying how great of a manager Dusty is and the tactics he uses and his aggressiveness translates well to the playoffs.

Yeah....and I think much less of him now -
RotinajReds will probably win something like 9-4 today. Leake gets 2 hits w 2 rbi.
-
Ironman92MLB Network with 3 guys saying Matt Carpenter should be the ASG starter at 2nd.

Leake is due to get demolished so everyone can bitch about him as our 5th starter -

John Heyman and Richard Justice -
Azubuike24Well, Carpenter does have an .836 OPS and has been a star at the top of the best offense and best team in the NL. Phillips does have the RBI total, but only a .774 OPS.
It's meaningless though considering that Phillips will win the vote easily... -
