Indians at Reds - Game 1
-
Laley23The 1st pitch was wild. But Reds fans accusing Tribe fans of not watching Chapman be wild need to watch Swisher more. If he doesnt swing, he doesnt leave the box...almost ever. If he takes a pitch, he he just stares at the pitcher, the plate, the sky and then is in his stance without leaving the box. So that wasnt all that unusual.
In fact, it looked at first like Swish looked at Chapman like WTF was that? Not a mad look, more of a shocked looked. Then it turned into more heated stare and then the 1-0 pitch was intentional, and frankly, dangerous. I hate pitchers who throw that high up. -

It wasn't outside. It was just high. And yes...you could tell Swisher got mad about that pitch.Terry_Tate;1448972 wrote:Wait, was the first one way outside and nowhere near Swisher? I was at a 90 degree angle to the pitches and thought it was just high. Lol if he got mad about that pitch. -
Laley23
It was high and slightly inside. Not really near him, cause it was so high. Probably 10 feet out of the zone lol. I dont think it was outside. It went between Swishers head and the umpires head, but higher than both.Terry_Tate;1448972 wrote:Wait, was the first one way outside and nowhere near Swisher? That would be great!Ironman92;1448945 wrote:Another rule of thumb is that if the wild pitcher can throw over 100 mph.....it's best not to potentially piss him off by staring towards him when the previous pitch wasn't close to hitting anything.
If Choo gets hit and Chapman is in the game later....there will be a batter that wished Choo hadn't been hit.
Batter on base, Chapman ejected, in a presumably close game! -

Alright, that makes sense. He aired one exactly like that warming up, the catcher just watched it sail over his head, lol. What you said about Swisher makes sense then. -
Laley23The real question however still stands. What the fuck is a guy we demoted like 3 days ago pitching in a tie game in the 8th?? Then, after he already sucked, was STILL pitching to Votto??? Hell, why was ANYONE throwing anything but 4 intentional balls to Votto?
BP hits into an alarming number of DPs, yet we dont set one up for him and bring in a righty with downward movement (Smith, Allen, Shaw??) -
Laley23Just looked. 140 GIDPs for Phillips the last 7 years. Already 6 this year. 146 in 7.25 years and we fucking dont walk Votto to set it up?? So fucking dumb.
Oh well, thank God the Wings play tonight so I will either be happy and forget this or more pissed at them than the Tribe lol. -

That blew my mind as well. The only thing is can I think of was Franconia was trying to get an inning from him since the bullpen has been worked last series and pitching a lot and hagadone had a fresh arm. I would of rather seen Barnes in that situation than hagadone -

However, if you want to get technical, I called his behavior n*****like, I didn't call him a n*****. There's a difference. -

More like showing your true colors. Just a game of baseball; no need to call someone a fucking n***** because he ALMOST hit your boyfriend in the head.vball10set;1448990 wrote:....just callin' a spade a spade -

No, I'm a Reds fan. vball must have gotten confused. That happens when you squeeze KKK meetings in your schedule.sportswizuhrd;1448994 wrote:You turn on the Redlegs S&L? Haha. -

Sorry, I did confuse your being a Browns fan with being an Indians fan. Now, please excuse me, as I need to get back to my Grand Wizard duties.SportsAndLady;1448995 wrote:No, I'm a Reds fan. vball must have gotten confused. That happens when you squeeze KKK meetings in your schedule.
