Cincinnati Reds @ Philadelphia Phillies - Game 44/162
-
Azubuike24Better late than never.
We'll see if it affects the 1-game streak! -
Tiger2003Man this lineup is amazing.
-
sherm03Phew...that was a scary 8th.
Not sure what's going on with Marshall and Broxton...but they are nowhere near as "sure fire" as they have been.
Let's try to get a run, and then hopefully Chapman can slam the door. -
Tiger2003THE PHILLIES SCORE!!!! The streak is over!!
-
mhs95_06Hopefully the jeopardy the Reds' lead was in during the bottom of the 8th will be the most of the game, and the 9th will have no baserunners and no longballs for the Phils! And maybe an insurance run or two in the top of the 9th.

Funny too.Tiger2003;1445091 wrote:Man this lineup is amazing.
Rollins, Utley and Howard were former top 3 players at their position.
Revere, Brown and Galvis were all highly touted prospects.
Delmon Young has been decent at the MLB level, and was once a super prospect.
Ruiz is a pretty good hitting catcher.
If anything, the Phils have some issues, but they SHOULD be hitting better than they are. 3rd worst in the NL in runs scored... -
Terry_Tate4 pitch walk to the first batter. Uh oh.
-
Azubuike24Squeezed on these pitches.
Ball 2 and 3 to Young, and ball 1 to Kratz were close. -
Azubuike24LOL.

I think the fact hanigan had to move the glove to get them hurt him. -
Tiger2003Thata boy Cliff. What else could go wrong this season.
-
Azubuike24Burned again on the FB...SMH.
-
sherm03Wow...erasing Lee from the basepath sure turned out to be big.
Fucking tie game now. -
Midstate0196 doesnt get outs. Period. Guys can sit on it.
-
Azubuike24That was a bomb too. Seriously, the ONLY pitch people can hit off Chapman is the knee high FB. Terrible.
-
sherm03Game.
FUCK! -
Terry_TateShaking my fucking head.
-
Tiger2003I don't believe it.
-
Azubuike24Yeah, I love Chapman but something else has to be done. He has a devastating slider and simply doesn't use it enough.
That's a season-changing win for the Phils. They got out-executed and out-played in the series, by a better team, and won the series. -
Midstate01And ppl want him to start. Lol. You knew it was over after the walk. He was out there shaking his head. Throwing 94..wtf.
-
mhs95_06Without the pick-off, Chapman would have only given up one key HR - the game winner! LeCure and Hoover currently look like the best Reds relievers.
-

Or maybe none of the above!mhs95_06;1445097 wrote:Hopefully the jeopardy the Reds' lead was in during the bottom of the 8th will be the most of the game, and the 9th will have no baserunners and no longballs for the Phils! And maybe an insurance run or two in the top of the 9th. -

12 of the 14 pitches were fastballs. Mostly 94-96 and hit 98 and 99 once each I think but couldn't control those. Have to get the slider going. -
Azubuike24
Yeah, Marshall looks shaky as hell. Broxton is solid, but always seems to get into trouble somehow, and is certainly overpaid for a setup role that both LeCure and Hoover seem to be capable of filling at 20% the cost.mhs95_06;1445117 wrote:Without the pick-off, Chapman would have only given up one key HR - the game winner! Just throw the damn thing more, right? Seriously, some of the sliders guys swing at are not even close to the zone. The deception on the pitch makes it very difficult to get a great look at the location.Terry_Tate;1445120 wrote:12 of the 14 pitches were fastballs.
