like_thatI am not posting on the tribe thread, because I am too superstitious. They have been winning series without me posting, so I won't post in a thread until they lose a series. Anyway, I saw this post in there, and it made me lol, because I know you guys are thinking almost the same thing (emphasize the bolded part):

zach24ozSo Stubbs hits a walk off and all of the sudden it becomes a great trade when Choo has or is high up there with the highest OBP and is hitting around .320 and is by far one of the best of not the best leadoff hitters the Reds have had haha
-
Crimson streakIt has been a great trade for both teams. We got Stubbs who is a pretty damn good fielder. And he's batting .284 so far, shaw who has an era under 1 and Bauer looks to be a complete stud. For one year of choo. It has worked out for both the reds and the Indians
-
Azubuike24It depends on Bauer. Stubbs is what he is. In the end, he will fail to meet expectations. He's a quality bench player and defensive replacement. If he's starting in your outfield, that's probably not a good sign. Especially in the AL.
Right now, I'd say the team who loses is Arizona. They loved Didi Gregorious, and gave up a ton to get him. He's very young (and currently injured), but I have my doubts that he ever becomes the franchise SS they expected him to be.
If he does, the loser in the trade becomes the Reds because the Reds future at SS is terrible... -

I think the reason cinci fans hated Stubbs so much was the fact he was hitting in the top of the lineup. He's Cleveland 9 hole hitter. If he hits 15+ he's steals 20-30 bases and hits above .230 with above average defense then I call that successful especially in the 9 hole. I think he's finding success in Cleveland bc he basically has no pressure at all. Once Bauer cuts down on his walks he will be pretty damn good. In his 2 starts I believe he has given up a total of 3 hits. I do agree with you that Arizona lost in that deal big time. I really hope cinci can keep choo though. He's a class act guy and I will always be a big fan of his. -
Azubuike24There will be huge pressure to keep Choo.
I also agree with you with Stubbs. Cleveland is his 2nd team too. He was a Reds 1st round pick. He was expected to be a lot.
Unfortunately, like I've said about Stubbs on here many times. Look at his numbers at Texas. Lookat his numbers in the minors. Anyone who expected that he would come to the majors and somehow have a good eye and OBP was crazy. He simply doesn't have those skills. -
like_thatI didn't post that quote to imply the trade was better for the Indians just an fyi. It's def working out for the reds so far, and I think the Indians got a quality trade out of a guy who wasn't going to resign with him, and frankly was sucking ass and most likely going to continue to suck ass in Cleveland without protection in the lineup (MVP Votto). As stated, I think so far AZ is the loser in this.
