It's Masters Week!

Up until the last 1/2 hr this was the most boring Masters in the past 20 yrs. Oh sure Tigergate gave it some unwanted pub but the play across the board was lack-luster. Glad to see Mr. Nicklaus' record will not be broken anytime soon and certainly not by anybody playing today.

I don't know if it is karma that is holding Woods back -- Ray Lewis has won two Super Bowls since the time he murdered that person by gutting them with a knife -- but he is definitely getting what he deserves. He's a scum bag. Plain and simple. That does not, however, take away from how great he is as a golfer. From 1997 to 2005, he was the single-greatest man to ever swing a club. And it's not close. He was that dominant.

I enjoy seeing Woods near the top of the majors he is participating in because it adds that extra drama that nobody else can duplicate, but I also enjoy him coming up short. Hopefully he is close, but never wins again.

Can we get another post hating on the Aussies? It brought the lulz.

    T-4th is out of it...

But Langer and Couples were in it at T-13 and T-25??? lol

What's holding Tiger back is his inability to put together a complete 4 rounds of golf. I mean if it's not the putter it's the long game leading to mediocre GIR, if he's getting GIR he's not getting up and down because of the putter.

He still didn't play that poorly, and who knows what happens if that 4 shot swing on 15 doesn't happen on Friday. He went from a birdie to a bogey to a triple, all resulting from a perfect shot. Tiger's a momentum rider and he couldn't get anything going this weekend, think about the 360* lipout. That's Augusta for you though.

Really happy Scott finally got a major, but am thoroughly impressed with Angel's approach at 18. Knowing he needs to make birdie, sticking it to a few feet? Damn impressive.

    But Langer
It's about momentum. Langer at -5 through 3 holes was more in it than Tiger at -3 through 4 holes. Like I just said in my post, Tiger just couldn't get the momentum he needed to take charge. If he had made a couple of those momentum inducing putts, he's most definitely in it.

But without making any of those putts, it's hard to say he was really in it.

Except anyone watching with a brain knew Tiger would finish top-5 and those other 2 would be close to E.I do

Agree with your premise though. I was just poking fun at CCs incredibly dumb logic of Tiger being out of it.

A few days late, but Stevie has come out and said Tiger should have been disqualified had they decided to uphold the rules of golf.

He tried to be diplomatic, but couldn't help himself.

The rules of golf are what allowed it to be a 2 stroke penalty.
