He better back it up though, that's for sure.

    NY media will love him.
Because he fired his agent due to him slipping. What did his agent have to do with it? He also refused to show up on day 2 because he didnt go in the first round. I believe he refused to speak to anybody after the first round was over because he was too busy QQing.

Not saying he wont be good, but he is making himself out to be a little baby.

How important are undrafted FAs? 15 are in the Pro Football HOF. That's 2 more than top overall pix & 7 more than Heisman winners.

LOL talk about fun with stats. Small sample size of #1's and giant sample size of UDFA

That tweet is worthless to me

I understand the obvious large discrepancy in sample sizes, but I still think its impressive that there are more hall of famers of "nobodys" than "cant miss superstars". Some scouting, huh.

He did show up on the second day. You must have tuned in late.

Doesn't really have much to do with scouting. There have been plenty of guys that would have been top talents but got hurt and ended up going undrafted (only to come back and become great players). There's also been plenty of first round picks who get hurt early in their career and never play again.

    It's not an impressive stat.

Can you name me some guys who were good but were UDFAs because of injury and later became HOFers? Not saying you are wrong, would just like to know. I would say more 1st overall picks flame out because they arent as good as believed to be, not because of injury.

Off the top of my head...no. And admittedly, I don't care enough to look it up.

Of course I found it on a site that was a "click to view next player". I hate those and it almost made me not go through them all, but I was curious lol.

Most of those guys were from an era when the draft was like 20 rounds.

While I am not taking sides here, that would benefits Pick6s argument.

Not really. Even when there were 20 rounds, there was still just one guy who was the top overall pick.

But less of a chance for someone to go undrafted and make an impact.

I mean, if we had 20 rounds today, NO ONE signed after the draft would be undrafted. They would all be drafted at somepoint.

We had 12 rounds of a draft as early as 1992. No, that's not 20 rounds...but no matter what there will still be lots of guys that don't get drafted for whatever reason and sign as undrafted FA's after the fact.

Maybe not a bitch but delusional. Guy shouldn't have been a top 20 pick, let alone a #1 pick, and he fell to where he should have. In last years draft he's probably a 3rd/4th round pick.

Saw Tyrann Mathieu is not going to sign without guaranteed money. Ha, sounds like a problem to me.

According to collective bargaining agreement, they wont be allowed to sign him without including the guaranteed money anyways. Non story.

I don't know how I've never heard about this before... or maybe I have and just forgot but that is pretty fucking sweet. If I wasn't picked in the first 2-3 rounds I'd just hope to be Mr. Irrelevant.

i wouldnt go that far but i would rather be named mr. irrelevent and at least be drafted, than sign as a FA after the draft

Those perks Mr Irrelevent gets are nice but at that point I'd rather go undrafted so I could pick my own team. I wouldn't want to have to retire versus playing for the Steelers. ;)
