Both QBs are looking pretty awful right now. Have a friend from my hometown who was trying to talk shit to me about how Dalton is a great QB. He was fapping to Daltons 3 game win streak where he admittedly had good games. I've always said if you take Green out of the game, Dalton is pretty much just a slightly better Weeden. Gotta learn how to handle the pressure in the AFC North.
As for Joe Flacco I still lol at that contract. -
MulvaTavon Austin finally showed up. 3 long TDs.

Azubuike24You just can't survive without Hall, Atkins, Maualuga and Mays on D. That's 3 of your top 5 defensive players. The offense looks terrible for Cincy, but they knew coming into the year that's how it would be. It's still a work in progress. They aren't playing terribly today defensively, but you just can't survive with those crucial guys gone.
I'll watch the rest of the year, but if the Bengals get in the playoffs, it's another first game loss. It's gonna be Peyton vs Tom again in the AFC Title Game. -

Sounds like an excuse to me lolAzubuike24;1533163 wrote:The offense looks terrible for Cincy, but they knew coming into the year that's how it would be. It's still a work in progress
They knew coming into the year the offense would be terrible? Really? -
Azubuike24Inconsistent. Not terrible. For 3 straight weeks it was lights out.
Point was, you can't count on the offense to win games. Not on this team.
The defense had to be top 10 like they were last year, if not better. With those guys down, it's not.
Like I said, even if the Bengals win the North (hell, 9-7 may do it), they are sitting ducks. -

Yeah, I doubt they planned to look as bad as they do today lol.SportsAndLady;1533165 wrote:Sounds like an excuse to me lol

Losing their guys on D really hurts though. Who is the third top guy? Geno, Hall and?? Don't tell me Rey is, I thought you guys were down on him. -
Azubuike24Yeah, I should've phrased that different. More of, they knew it wouldn't be 11 TD's, 1 INT good (like it was for 3 weeks) or 0 TD's and 4 INT's like it has been the last 1.5 weeks. Somewhere in the middle. Not good enough to carry a team like Denver or New England, but not awful enough that your defense would have to pitch a shutout to even win games.

like_thatI am curious to see what the record will be for the team who gets the 2nd wild card spot in the AFC. Im thinking 9-7, but would not be surprised if its 8-8.
Edit: Had a few posters jump on me when i said the AFC was going to be bad this year. -

Maualuga? Have you watched him this year? Lights out different player. I'd rank their value to the team...like_that;1533167 wrote:Yeah, I doubt they planned to look as bad as they do today lol.

1. Atkins
2. Burfict
3. Hall
4. Maualuga
5. Nelson
6. Dunlap
Everyone else is just filler.
Also, it hurts even more considering the 2 worst spots for depth on the team are LB and CB. I mean, fucking Adam Jones and Terrance Newman are the starting CB's. They signed Michael Boley out of his living room and Vincent Rey off his 3rd practice squad in 2 years. Those guys were starting. -
Azubuike24Lets also consider that both Brandon Ghee (2nd rounder in 2011) and Dre Kirkpatrick (1st rounder in 2012) can't even crack the starting lineup, after Hall is gone, beating out either Jones or Newman.
Chris Crocker was signed in week 3 and has started 4 games this year.
It definitely hurts that Ghee and Kirkpatrick are looking like busts. Also, James Harrison has only played like 35% of the team's defensive snaps. -

I have only watched the Bengals/Browns game, and this current game. I feel like I am scouting for the Browns' week 11 game lol. So, no I haven't seen him, and i wouldn't know if he improved or not. I just see you few fans complain about him, so I figured he was expendable. -

Azubuike24I'd put Peko and Johnson up there in the close category. MJ is a free agent though, so he's likely gone.

FootwedgeTrent is having a career day running the ball today. Horrible trade by the Browns

I hated him last year. Seemed so slow and constantly missing tackles. But Azubuike is right, Maualuga has been much improved this season.like_that;1533175 wrote:I just see you few fans complain about him, so I figured he was expendable.
The offense certainly isn't terrible, but there isn't much in the world more inconsistent than it.
