Similar Plays...2 different Calls...A Super Bowl and National Title was Decided

  • Footwedge
Of course I am talking about yesterday's 4th down play in the end zone and the PI on the Krenzel to Gamble pass on 4th down.

In slow mo...they are both infractions. In game time speed, both can be left go.

It;s amazing how simiklat those 2 plays were.

    No.

In slow mo and live both are penalties.

Typo in title....."were". There...otherwise my thread would end up in the HOF.

The OL was told to hold. The worst that happens is a safety anyway.

And sorry, but calls are missed in every game. Maybe the 49ers shouldn't have played like shit in the 1st half and let freaking Jacoby "can't hack it in Texas" Jones run it back on them.

So a ref shouldnt ref because the OL was told by his coach. GTFO. Also, it did make a difference. It allowed at least 4 extra seconds to run of the clock because nobody could get to the punter.

The ref should ref, but I'm saying it had no impact on the game. If they call holding, it only benefits the Ravens.

    Actually no it didn't.

    Let's analyze...

No holding penalty: 8 seconds run off the clock, result of the play is a safety
Holding penalty is called: 8 seconds run off the clock, result of the play is a safety.

There WAS holding, but it didn't matter if it got called or not because the clock wouldn't have stopped.

Nothing similar about those two calls. One was for a team that deserved to win the other was for a bunch of miscreants that should be exterminated from the human race.

You're right. Not sure what I was thinking, because they were obviously instructed to hold. Still doesnt change the fact it couldnt have been more obvious and should have been called.

Just sucks that the miscreants won and the deserving lost.

I was unaware that holding stops the clock. Tell me moar!

I knew it didnt stop the clock. Keep defending the shoddy ref job, though. Looks good.

So do you know the difference between holding in the end zone and stepping out of the endzone?

Yeah. Keep avoiding the fact that the referees literally quit doing their job and that a player shoved a ref and nothing was done about it please.
