McCoy and the 2011 Cleveland Browns agree.Commander of Awesome;1339812 wrote:Also can't think of a SB winning team where the primary reciever was a TE. Look at the chiefs, chargers, cowboys over the past decade. If your offense is run through your TE you have problems.
Although I believe Sharpe was the primary guy for the Ravens and Elway's SB winning teams. -

So could of the Ravens or the 9ers.Laley23;1339818 wrote:Thats a good point. However, the Pats could have easily won the SB last year. But they would seem to be the exception. -

Priest Holmes and Jamal Lewis + the best def in the NFL (or least top 2) ever. But you're right, that's probably the best example we have to go by. -

He def wasn't the primary focus of the offense. I was just saying when they threw the ball, chances were the ball was going to him.Commander of Awesome;1339826 wrote:Terrel Davis, and Rod Smith were the primary guys on the Broncos.

Another example for a TE is the Giants SB run in 07. They lost Shockey in the middle of the year, and everyone wrote the team off. Nope, Kevin Boss filled in, and played pretty damn well. -
se-alumIf I were Heckert, I wouldn't waste a pick on a TE in any round. I think Cameron can be good enough.

Commander of AwesomeAgree on Cameron, esp with Watson and Alex Smith. I would put TE at near the bottom on the list. Right next to Kicker.

se-alumThe focus should be CB, Rush DE, and OG in my opinion. Maybe a LB if they want to take one, although that group has been surprisingly solid this year.

I agree with this. I hope Gocong can return to form, because those LBers will be tough together, especially with the younger guys having a year of exp under their belt.se-alum;1339845 wrote:The focus should be CB, Rush DE, and OG in my opinion.
