RotinajBout damn time!!!
-
Classyposter58Took 4 games but they're actually hitting. Just looked too nervous the first 3 games and uncomfy. A lot of bad swings
-
Ironman92I remember when Phil Coke was horrible....now he's unhittable
-
Ironman92The Riot got a hit off of Coke.
Pagan is due for extra bases -
Ironman92Scutero and The Riot may have just caused one in San Fran

How will they look now needing at least a run before three out or it's season over!Classyposter58;1306905 wrote:Took 4 games but they're actually hitting. Just looked too nervous the first 3 games and uncomfy. A lot of bad swings -
shook_17damn what a clutch hit. serigo romo is fucking sick. end of story.
-
mhs95_06The ole back door sinker that got lots of plate finishes off Cabrera for the sweep of the Tigers.
-
Ironman92The Giants sweep!
World Series Champions!
Impressive team performance. -
Classyposter58F***ing son of a b****! Swept! F***!

reclegend22I'm surprised the Tigers even extended the series to game four.
Good job, Detroit. -
IggyPride00UNreal.
The Giants looked over matched an in over their head those first 2 games against the Reds.
Not sure I would have believed prior to game 3 heading to Cincy that they would ultimately win the world series.
Hell of a comeback story all the way around for them. -

mhs95_06Giants were 4-5 in the first 9 games of the play-offs, then 7-0 to finish it off at 11-5 combined.

Yeah, I understand that. Lol. I was being sarcastic. Like a T-ball game that is ended after one team is ruled to have thoroughly humiliated the other, this series should have been called after three.Enforcer;1306955 wrote:The Tigers didnt MLB did, Its a best of 7
A shame. Living just down the highway in Toledo, I really wanted Detroit to return the championship to Tiger Town. -
shook_17GREAT pitching beats GREAT hitting anytime. it was nice to see the little Giants lol knock down the high priced payroll Tigers.
Giants have a great dilema with serigo romo and brian wilson next year. -

Great pitching assisted by inept hitting and zero timely hitting. -
thavoiceI hate to say this but I barely watched the WS.
And I call baseball my passion.
Says alot about what I thnk is important in sports these days. -
Laley23Ratings, as expected, have to have been horrible...though I havent seen them. There was nothing appealing (despite what Classyposter tried to sell us lol) about this series and I think I watched 3 total innings in 4 games. None last night.

yeah, they have to be pretty bad.Laley23;1307161 wrote:Ratings, as expected, have to have been horrible...though I havent seen them. There was nothing appealing (despite what Classyposter tried to sell us lol) about this series and I think I watched 3 total innings in 4 games. None last night.
Dont know what it is, i love baseball, live and die by the reds all season, but with them out the interest just dropped to nothing. Maybe it has something to do with it being a series vs just one game or something.
Plus, or local cut rate cable company only broadcasts the wide screen version of the games so you can never see the fox box. Drives me nuts -

Baseball has been killed by the regionalization of the sport. No one watches the national televised games anymore, only their game on their local FSN/whatever network. Playoffs, Sunday Night and the Fox GOtW support this. No one cares about anything in baseball but their own team. When they are out the interest is as well.thavoice;1307164 wrote:yeah, they have to be pretty bad.

Very true, and it has to be because of having almost all the games from your fav team on TV. I remember as a kid, a station out of ft wayne, fox 55, would promote their MLB games. Some ChiSox, Cubs and reds and ya bet your ass we tuned in to watch them no matter whom is playing.Laley23;1307184 wrote:Baseball has been killed by the regionalization of the sport. Nowadays if isnt the reds playing then I really dont pay attention. Part of it is because they play pretty much ever day, and the days they dont I dont feel like watching another baseball game.
I will only watch other games if there is a local kid playing like Luebke (OSU and Marion Local and Padres), STammen (Natinals and Versailles), Niese and billingsly (defiance and mets/dodgers). -

I didn't watch anything other than the one inning where fielder was thrown out at the plate. Neither of those teams have any appeal to me. Hell, other than watching a little of the reds series...I didn't watch any baseball in October.Laley23;1307161 wrote:Ratings, as expected, have to have been horrible...though I havent seen them. Laley23Ratings are in. The 4 game series got an 8.9 I believe. In other words, it got beat by the Kentucky Derby...
