damn, fister takes a liner off the dome and stays in there.

Had a war vet (young man) that was involved in a bombing and lost both of his legs and 1 arm and he was all in uniform with his artificial legs and was alongside Barry Zito and Willie freakin Mays....he could barely make it out towards the mound....Zito helped him get pivoted around towards the catcher...he gathered himself, took what looked to be his opposite arm back awkwardly and then threw a strike...

I'm not greatly patriotic but that was the best thing I've seen in a while.

I just can't fathom him continuing throughout the game.

damn fister is a fucking man. that was a rocket off his head. surprised he stayed in there.
  • Ironman92

castrovance said the fact it deflected so far into centerfield was a good sign. means the actual blow to the head wasnt as severe as it could have been

If Fielder extends out, like he did in that diving try for the foul pop, on his approach running to home, he would have scored the run.

    This is good baseball.

how is it possible that that stayed fair?

    Fortune transferred from the Cardinals

Crawford looked like he was trying to hit into a DP to get the run in!

Do the Giants go with Romo to start the 9th? I think I'd let Casilla go until someone gets on! Just think that every time you bring in another pitcher he may not "have it"!

Love the mixture of personalities on this Giants team.

I give that thought a lot as well....but bringing in the closer is rarely a poor choice. I use it more when the starter is pulled too early and the bullpen keeps changing every 2 batters....just asking for the sucky one to appear.

Damn these tigers hitters are choking big time thus far.

    sergio romo's stuff is ridiculous
  • ts1227
    Romo is downright filthy tonight

    this.

JV and Fister lose to Zito and Bumgarner...

This series would now be a choke job by the Giants. Their 2 best going the next 2 nights, with Lincecum on back-up duty if needed again. Gotta believe Cain and Vogelsong can take at least 1 of the next 2 versus Scherzer and Sanchez.
  • shook_17
^^^ yup. i think tonight is a toss up but i fully expect Cain to win tomorrow night and be up 3-1 or to win the series

This tigers lineup is a group of pussys. Do something!!!

They are done....for their chance last inning and choked it away

Never seen anything like this playoff season as far as teams bats going completely dead. The Yankees, Tigers, Cardinals.... all played well and then it is like the switch just went off and absolutely nothing.

This cool weather in Detroit....balls are getting mashed and then caught short of the warning track. That ball Pence hit would've hit 1/2 way up the black batter's eye/restaurant
  • mhs95_06
One finally creeps out, off the bat of the triple crown winner. The first lead by the Tigers doesn't come until the 3rd inning of game 4!
