Midstate01But I don't think soriano's good enough to trick anyone lol. He's awful on defense.

You mean Castromhs95_06;1244893 wrote:You mean Ludwick got deked nearly as bad by Soriano as Soriano got deked yesterday by Cozart and Phillips? -
Midstate01Shit yep Castro. I get those two confused. No idea why either.

Midstate01Was this whole game on mlbnetwork?

Yeah, that's right, it was Castro. Bronson wins a very big battle with DeJesus, and then gets thru the rest of the 8th easily!zach24oz;1244897 wrote:You mean Castro -
Midstate01Arroyo's first 3 innings were shaky. Didn't have much movement on his pitches at all. Since that 3rd though, he was fantastic. Had cubs hitters way off balance. Gave us 8 innings.

mhs95_06No bloopy underhand toss from Rizzo there!

mhs95_06BP with a lot of bad swings today, but he's got 3 hits!

He also busts it 100% of the time...which is how he was on 2nd, stole without a throw, is nearly on 2nd with his weak pop outs, breezes behind the next fielder on routine flies....he's always there and takes nothing for granted. He's not great but he plays like you want your son to. -
mhs95_06How will Chapman be the next day after pitching in two innings yesterday? He threw 4 in the 8th and 16 in the 9th.

Midstate01He gone

Ironman92mhs95_06;1244888 wrote:He was going for the insurance run! If it fell in, he thought that was likely, he'd score. If it didn't, he didn't figure Heisey or Valdez would. But, turns out those two produce a run starting with none on and 2 out, and that's why baseball is such a great game!
Oh I disagree a good bit. It was awful baserunning and nothing else....why would anyone try to score on a ball high in the air with 1 out????? Doesn't matter if Babe Ruth or Aaron Harang is up next. -

That must be why Dusty doesn't play him much - afraid he'll get hurt. He likes the way other players "pace themselves" to "avoid injury".Ironman92;1244911 wrote:He also busts it 100% of the time...which is how he was on 2nd, stole without a throw, is nearly on 2nd with his weak pop outs, breezes behind the next fielder on routine flies....he's always there and takes nothing for granted. I thought he went on the crack of the bat thinking it was going to be in for a hit. If, as it was pointed out on here, he hesitated after he had gotten off a ways, that adds a whole new slant because as each millisecond ticked off after initial contact, it was more and more obvious that Soriano had a good chance to catch the ball. So if he started to go again because he saw something in the way Soriano reacted, by deke or otherwise, or if he just went on straight out idiocy, then it was flat out bad baserunning.Ironman92;1244916 wrote:Oh I disagree a good bit.
