Reds vs D'bags.....Game 3
-
Ironman92Everyone you'd expect in the lineup with Luddy for Heisey.
-
wildcats20Latos on the bump...Reds win.
-
redstreak oneAre there any more storms looking to roll through Cincy tonight? Latos pitches well, Redlegs win!
-
Midstate01Great start...
-
Midstate01Jesus Christ. 3 outs. All first pitch swinging!!!
-
Midstate01Oh and 0-3 risp already!!
-
mhs95_06Especially with Votto out, the Reds need to solve their failures to score after getting lead-off doubles bugaboo!
-
mhs95_06Kubel surely adds a lot to the offensive proficiency of the AZ line-up.
-
wildcats20Um....
The last time someone thew one at Luddy, he hit it to the upper deck. Here's to another one. -
Midstate01Another first pitch out. Ughhhhh
-
Midstate01Kubel with another blast
-
mhs95_06Two out doubles by the Reds are proving as unproductive as no out doubles!
-
mhs95_061st two reach for the D'backs in the 5th. With the Reds failures on moving key runners up on bunts who would have subsequently scored with what happened avoiding the current 2 run deficit, the 5th just might produce the runs that puts the game out of reach in favor of the D'backs.

This guy. :rolleyes:wildcats20;1228187 wrote:Latos on the bump...Reds win. -

I thought he was going to get out of it when the P failed to advance the runners on the bunt, and Drew's fly out didn't advance anyone either, but a double and two walks do the deed and put the lead up to 5-1!mhs95_06;1228313 wrote:1st two reach for the D'backs in the 5th. Midstate01Yep this one is over
-
mhs95_06With LeCure having 19 pitches and 1.1 innings, will dusty let him go another, or double switch with Meso and Hanigan?
-
mhs95_06
Neither! He comes with a one inning pitcher and will pitch hit straight up to lead-off the 7th. Looks like Dusty will use at least 5 pitchers tonight. He may end up wishing they could get Redmond back, but they won't be able to for a while - what is it 10 days, 15 days???mhs95_06;1228352 wrote:With LeCure having 19 pitches and 1.1 innings, will dusty let him go another, or double switch with Meso and Hanigan? -
mhs95_06Paul fits right in to the Reds' mold. Fly out on the first pitch! If you don't average 40% base hits on first pitch swings, you are first pitch swinging too much! The the Reds go out 1,2,3 on 6 pitches. Shows right there the Reds are more interested in getting the game over so they can get home as early as possible rather than trying to win!
-
mhs95_06You pitch enough relief pitchers, you'll find one who isn't sharp. Could have double switched to let LeCure pitch another inning, then left Arredondo, who has pitched 3 days in a row, out of it tonight. But no, Arredondo pitches 26 pitches, and now Ondrusek is in the game! Leake may have to stay in for 12-15 runs tomorrow!
-
mhs95_06We need Paul Janish to pitch the 9th!
-
BRFI'll help mhs95_06 out by saying that I lol'd on the title of the thread, Ironman!
-
Ironman92I did it to prove a point to midstate

Think its ten days before they can call him back up, unless there is an injury.mhs95_06;1228358 wrote:Neither! He comes with a one inning pitcher and will pitch hit straight up to lead-off the 7th. This offense is down right putrid right now. Without Joe anchoring this lineup there is not one person that the opposing pitchers fear facing. The last 3 games have been some of the most boring I have watched as a reds fan in a long time.
Dont expect the reds to win many without votto in the lineup unless they get G R E A T pitching and someone hitting a 3 run johnson for the reds. -
Heretic
Paul was with Pittsburgh last year. My scouting report = generally worthless, but can have brief periods of usefulness IF he gets on a roll batting AND is getting consistent playing time while this is happening. Which I can't really see happening with Cincy, as you guys have a solid group of starters with your problem being quality depth other than Frazier and Heisey.mhs95_06;1228376 wrote:Paul fits right in to the Reds' mold.
