Ok. Different definitions than. If a guy leads in almost every category, and has a pretty big lead in SB, HR, RS, and RBI and is on pace for a nearly 30/40 season as a 2B, I say its definite advantage.SportsAndLady;1199270 wrote:I want to clarify on this...Kipnis is leading in almost every statistical category, I get that..but BP is definitely winning some and isn't getting crushed in the others. It's probably advantage Kipnis, but not "advantage definitely Kipnis".
And no, it wasnt about who we would take. It was about the advantage breakdown going into the series. You disagreed, and I said I would take Kipnis after anyone but Votto. But we were for sure talkign about the numbers this year, going into this series. -
Azubuike24Sipp has a .178 opponents OBA against lefties. Last year he was very good. Do they have any other options in AAA?
On an unrelated note, I've seen Esmil Rogers twice now with Colorado against the Reds. The Rockies letting him walk in-favor of Jeff Francis, who they purchased off the Reds AAA roster for 1 start and he got rocked was a DUMB move. I think it was a good snag for the Indians. -

How often do the backend bullpen guys work in games they are losing?SportsAndLady;1199274 wrote:Wait..3 bullpen pitchers can't pitch in close games they are trailing in? lol
Id say 8th and Closers almost never. The 7th inning guy (Smith for us) is used a little more often. We used Smith last night. We use him again tonight and dont score and lose again. We are without him tomorrow. I understand what your saying, and if I managed I would use them more often. But I understand why Acta didnt/doesnt. -
mhs95_06Even though an advantage may be small it can still be definite! 876 is always(definitely) more than 865!

I liked his stuff tonight. But I havent seen him when he is "off" yet. But he cant be worse than some of the shit we have thrown out there this season (Ascensio...Good God).Azubuike24;1199287 wrote:Sipp has a .178 opponents OBA against lefties. Azubuike24Made sense to use him in a park and against a team he's faced multiple times. Got him for 150K though. Like the Reds getting J.J. Hoover and Alfredo Simon. At worst, they are AAA fillers.

Lol you just said we were arguing who you would take..Laley23;1199286 wrote:And no, it wasnt about who we would take...and I said I would take Kipnis after anyone but Votto. -

Yeah I dont hate the move. Its proactive if anything. I think they might be able to get some Pen help for cheap in the coming weeks as teams start to sell, if the Tribe is still in contention (I expect them to be).Azubuike24;1199298 wrote:Made sense to use him in a park and against a team he's faced multiple times. My point was, I would take Kipnis over anyone but Votto, so obviously I think its advantage Tribe at 2B. Thats all I was going for.SportsAndLady;1199302 wrote:Lol you just said we were arguing who you would take.. -

Right and we were mocking by saying "But they'd take Kipnis over BP"Laley23;1199304 wrote:My point was, I would take Kipnis over anyone but Votto, so obviously I think its advantage Tribe at 2B. Thats all I was going for.
Kipnis over anyone but Votto still means Kipnis over BP. -

But the question was about this series/season. Kipnis is having the better year, and I dont see how it is close. Phillips makes more plays on defense, but Kipnis doesnt butcher anything. Thats really the only thing BP has going for him.SportsAndLady;1199306 wrote:Right and we were mocking by saying "But they'd take Kipnis over BP"

I am the only one who said if starting a team, I would take Kipnis (and I think Wes agreed). You said we didnt even have the advantage in the series coming in, which is just wrong. I was kind of saying Id take Kipnis to start a team to drive home that point, and cause I have a man crush. -
SportsAndLadyWell either way...BP>Kipnis
This year last year next year -
se-alumBP also played injured for about 10-15 games. Who do I want on my team now? BP. Who am I taking if I'm starting a team? Kipnis.

Rotinaj@DatdudeBP 3-3 w a HR and the best defensive play of the game. He must be a member on here and saw the Indians fans saying they'd take kipnis. I'm guessing he's society. Also, get out the BROOMS!!!!!!!

Lol seriously Phillips is 30 years old and has played how many seasons in the majors. Kipnis has played a little less than half of last year and then this year and is putting up better numbers. -
Ironman92Phillips has had 7 more runners on 3rd base and 13 more on 20 base.....some easier RBI opportunities...thanks to JV

Ironman92Lol....atrocious call
