They have played young all series, for all this clutch talk coming in they have folded when the pressure has been on.

Putting the Shot Clock to 5 seconds for a jump ball is the stupidest rule in the sport lol. Why???

That is a TERRIBLE rule. Holy hell, that's bad.
Yup. Why penalize good defense? Almost as bad as the college rule.

    Ball game.

Commentators were talking about rule, that it goes to five secs.

Sooo, I'm pretty sure I have seen shot clocks under 5 seconds NOT get reset on jump balls.

That's the worst rule I have ever seen. In any sport. In any game.

    Obviously a rule?

Good thing I get MLB network (and good thing for Euro) so I can still watch sports until this coronation is done

That stern just put into effect 3 minutes ago, duh.

Hopefully Bron can get a nice massage and be all better for Game 5.
  • Pick6
If there is a team to come back from being down 3-1..OKC can do it. Steal game 5, then the last 2 are at home...

I agree. I still dont get why they put that rule in. It makes no sense.

Oh the rule says if the shot clock is under a second and there's a jump ball, they reset it to 5 seconds? Link?

I believe it's when the tie-up is below a second or something, but I could be way off. I recall it happening before. The team shot an airball and a jumpball was called w/ less than a second on the shot clock.

Might be under a minute left or something? Both commentators said something about it before ball was tossed.

LOL where the fuck did that post come from?

    Lol'd.

Wade didn't sound too happy with Bron there. I probably wouldn't be either. Like I said, hard to be effective with cramps, but still.

The major failure here was not the rules, but a player not knowing them in a critical situation. Way worse than Donovan McNabb!

Definitely, but with the lack of poise they have shown late in games I don't see them having the resilience.

I know just as much as you do. They said it was a rule.

Literally makes no sense. Hey they don't have enough time to shoot, so lets give em 4 free seconds?!
  • wildcats20
    • The 24-second clock shall remain the same as when play was interrupted or reset to 5 seconds, whichever is greater, any time on jump balls retained by the offensive team as the result of a held ball caused by the defense.
    That is the rule.

Here's the thing. I'm pretty sure Harden didn't cause the jump ball. IMO, he had the ball first and came down "on" Haslem...
