There really aren't many players left on Italy's squad from their 2006 WC team, or even their 2010 WC team. A lot of youth on the team this time around. Also, they are once again going through a scandal through Serie A. Last time there was a match fixing scandal, the Italians won a high profile event lol.Automatik;1192257 wrote:"Italy will dominate the group!!!"
Never gets old.
I just noticed no Gattuso on Italy's squad. I'm guessing he's done w/ international play? -
hoops23I have deep Irish and German roots. I rooted for Germany in 2008, but my Irish roots are much cooler/deeper so I'm rolling with Ireland the entire way.

hoops23Times like these, I miss Rock. Dude was a nutjob, but he provided some classic meltdowns.

chicago510Seriously though, I'm debating skipping class tomorrow. The games aren't the best of the tourney, but I'm so freaking pumped.

Meh, it's not like the German's have a hostile history against people who commit treason or anything.chicago510;1192308 wrote:Treason.
Sadly I have to work this entire weekend, but I'm off the next 4 weekends after and only work 2 days next week. I should be able to catch quite a few matches. -

App doesn't work with our area cable provider... At least on last glance.chicago510;1192318 wrote:You have a smartphone? Get the WatchESPN app
ESPN3 works just fine. Won't be able to watch while at work though.. Something about it creating mistakes with patients medications or some shit... -
Automatiklike_that;1189480 wrote:It was. It also helped that they were hosting the tourney too. Biggest fluke.
I was BS'n with my coworker today...basically asking how crazy it was after they won. They hosted the Olympics that year, the Euro was in Portugal.
Regardless, he said it was insane....people getting nuts partying in the streets. He said he didn't think people went to work for a week after they won the final. -

That's right not sure why I thought it was in Greece. Not surprised people didn't go to work though. Just one of many reasons why that country is going to the shitter.Automatik;1192332 wrote:I was BS'n with my coworker today...basically asking how crazy it was after they won. Love that it's on ESPN. ESPN3 kept me from needing to get a DVR for this shit. Throw in a US WC qualifier, and tomorrow is going to be a solid soccer day. And then Saturday will be even better. -
OSHI can't wait! A few hours away...
-
hoops23Thank god for espn3. I don't think I'm going to look for any scores tomorrow. I'm just going to watch the games when I get home.
