gorocks99Ukraine to the top of Group D and Sweden are pretty much cooked, having to play England and France yet.
-
ohiobucks1Good for England

Lol this. I was so confused when I turned it on.gorocks99;1195570 wrote: -
Laley23Damnit Sweden!
Once again I underestimate the power of the host country. Sweden will have to beat both France and England. Ukraine looking good since the others drew today. -
ohiobucks1Who is on tap tomorrow? Russia Poland and Greece Czech?
-
Laley23Yes, group A. Not very compelling games, unfortunately.
-
ohiobucks1Russia Poland may have some violence atleast ;D
-

haha... I hope so. Figures my first day off during the tourney would be this set of match ups. blah.ohiobucks1;1196149 wrote:Russia Poland may have some violence atleast ;D -
ohiobucks1I'm working a soccer camp all week if it makes you feel any better

ohiobucks1I just hope the Netherlands gets their act together
-
hoops23
At least they have the potential to do so... Ireland is pretty much done after their 3-1 loss to Croatia.ohiobucks1;1196229 wrote:I just hope the Netherlands gets their act together -
ohiobucks1I would love Ireland to play spoiler though
-
Laley23Decent start for the Czechs.
2-0 already, 6th minute. -
gorocks99Czechs need goals after getting embarrassed vs Russia and they're getting them. If they can win 3-0 or 4-0 they'll have a good chance to move through the group.
-
Laley23The Czechs will hold on for a 2-1 win. They stay alive and move ahead of Greece in the standings. They need Russia to win and take 7 or 9 points from the group. Then they can play for a draw versus Poland, and move through.
-
gorocks99Yeah, even though the Czechs had to hold on they are still in pretty good shape and will, in all likelihood, control their own destiny. Greece are done.
-
ohiobucks1I feel you Czechs I feel you
-
ohiobucks1What a goal by Błaszcykowski!!!!
-
gorocks99I think these are the Group A scenarios to advance for each team:
Russia advances with a win or tie vs Greece, or a tie between Poland and Czech Republic
Czech Republic advances with a win or tie vs Poland
Poland advances with a win vs Czech Republic
Greece advances with a win vs Russia AND a tie between Poland and Czech Republic -

With Czechs/Poland the earlier match on Saturday they'll know by the time they kick off if they have a shot at advancing. Should make for interesting soccer in at least the first game though, the Czechs through on only a tie and Poland needing a win.ohiobucks1;1197017 wrote:Go Greece -

They normally play at the same time to prevent any bullshit. They aren't doing that?gorocks99;1197020 wrote:With Czechs/Poland the earlier match on Saturday they'll know by the time they kick off if they have a shot at advancing.
