Random NBA Playoff Talk
-
wildcats20It was the definition of a flagrant foul.
A PLAY ON THE BALL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH A FLAGRANT FOUL.
Are you really that retarded you can't read or understand that statement? -
Skyhook791. The severity of the contact;
2. Whether or not the player was making a legitimate basketball play (e.g., whether a player is making a legitimate effort to block a shot; note, however, that a foul committed during a block attempt can still be considered flagrant if other criteria are present such as recklessness and hard contact to the head);
3. Whether, on a foul committed with a player's arm or hand, the fouling player wound up and/or followed through after making contact;
4. The potential for injury resulting from contact (e.g., a blow to the head and a foul committed while a player is in a vulnerable position);
5. The severity of any injury suffered by the offended player; and
6. The outcome of the contact (e.g., whether it led to an altercation).
NOTE: Each team will continue to be held responsible for the actions of its players on the court. Accordingly, if any individual player or team (collectively) commits, in the judgment of the League Office, an excessive number of flagrant fouls during the Playoffs, the player and/or that team's Head Coach will be subject to appropriate fines and/or suspensions.
All of those apply to the Kobe-Wade hard foul. The league office turned it's head because it was D-Wade. -

Just like they clearly turned their head bc it was Kobe ?Skyhook79;1168280 wrote:1. The severity of the contact;

Which is what this was all about before you started to spin it. -
killer_ewokNot exactly playoff talk but LeBron will be named MVP tomorrow.
-
Hb31187Yeah it was pretty much a 2 man race this year between him and KD
-
robj55Should have been it last year too, 3 in 4 years. Needs to win a ring though to silence the critics.
-
Hb31187Its no longer even the MVP its just the best player on one of the best teams award
-
sleeperLebron is the best player in the league.
-

Hasn't it always been really?Hb31187;1168294 wrote:Its no longer even the MVP its just the best player on one of the best teams award -

Long as I can remember yeah. they need to rename it lolrobj55;1168299 wrote:Hasn't it always been really? -

Something we can agree on but it still doesn't explain Steve Nash winning back to back MVP's or Shaq and Kobe only having 1 each. I will never understand that.Hb31187;1168294 wrote:Its no longer even the MVP its just the best player on one of the best teams award -
Commander of AwesomeLBJ should have won it Nash's second MVP year. Always thought that, even now. And I hate the guy.
-
jordo212000No surprise here on Lebron. Dude is the best player in the league. Funny how 'Robin' can win the MVP.
-

I think hes going to need more than one for that to happenrobj55;1168293 wrote:Should have been it last year too, 3 in 4 years. Needs to win a ring though to silence the critics. -
Skyhook79
He can because the MVP doesn't mean most valuable player. He is the best regular season player in the league. If it were a true MVP award Kevin Love would have won it.jordo212000;1168354 wrote:No surprise here on Lebron. Dude is the best player in the league. Funny how 'Robin' can win the MVP. -
jordo212000Actually MVP is an acronym for Most Valuable Player
-
wildcats20They for real called that a clear path foul?? Wow.
-
chicago510If LAC wins his with half of CP3 and 1/4 of Blake, Memphis should be embarassed
-
Azubuike24Bledsoe has been huge for the Clips. Memphis outplaying them right now though.
-
Fly4FunI really dislike the Clippers. Their fans are completely delusional.
Also, with 1 minute to go, Conley did foul Paul inadvertently, but Paul definitely jumped backwards/fell down with a lot of zeal to try to sell it. -
2kool4skoolAnyone riding with the Clippers can go fuck themselves. Most annoying team in the history of the NBA.
-
Hb31187Cp3 has little man syndrome. Always talkin shit to Pf's and Centers. And Blake is busy floppin all over the place and being soft. Im with you guys who dislike the clippers as awhole. Aside from Caron Butler, I like him
-
Laley23Clips did get fucked on a few calls. That was a travel on Allen and Paul blocked him clean.
I doubt it wouldve mattered though. Clippers have no offense cause Vinny Del Negro is the worst coach in the NBA. -
Hb31187Theyve sure put those comments Kobe made about his team on blast. I wonder how his teammates react to that? I certainly wouldnt like the "leader" of my team callin the rest of us out and basically sayin he has no help
-

I see your Vinny Del Negro, and raise you a Mike Brown.Laley23;1168441 wrote:Clips did get fucked on a few calls. That was a travel on Allen and Paul blocked him clean.
