Trust me...I hope I'm wrong. I loved watching the guy play the game. Did pretty well considering his total lack of mobilty.said_aouita;1108742 wrote:Not.* Dude loves playing too much. He may be close to done but he's still around for 2-3 years. *Unless he hurts his neck/nerves again.
Dan Marino will be second seat here shortly, in the list of greatest Miami Dolphins QB's.
I just think that having neurological problems has left him with noodle arm disease. If he proves me wrong, I'll be a happy bear.
Teams that are courting him may end up regretting bringing him in. -
justincredible

Raw Dawgin' itI hope he goes to the jets and is injured in pre season.
-
justincredibleI hope Brady gets Pollard'd again in the season opener.

Favre created a circus every off season with his drama queen act and left Green Bay with zero class.password;1108846 wrote:There is no way that he is productive with another team. He will ruin his legacy just like farve, couldn't accept the fact that he was done and ended his great career with a few greedy sub par seasons. Peyton could retire and would go down as one of the best to play the game while he is still healthy, but he is is going to take a chance of living in a wheelchair for a little more money, that he doesn't need.
Manning left the organization with as much class as we've ever seen a franchise player leave given the situation.
Favre gradually deteriorated over time until it was clear he wasn't a top QB any longer.
Manning was hurt and sat out a year, last we saw him he was still a top 3 QB in the league. -

I think Favre is a super douche, but he was 1 game away from the SB two years ago and if I'm not mistaken he had the best statistical season of his career.2kool4skool;1109215 wrote:Favre created a circus every off season with his drama queen act and left Green Bay with zero class.

The situations are not comparable. If Manning's arm strength is back, which they say it is, he will be fine. -

That is stupid. Why do some fans think athletes should not compete for as long as they want?
Never understood it. -

Why would an athlete still compete after the injury he had? All you heard during the season was how bad it was and he could be paralyzed if he took a hard hit to the head, why take the chance when he has accomplished everything an athlete could want.said_aouita;1109284 wrote:That is stupid. Because Peyton said he wants to play. It's his choice and his decision. I am sure he has weighed the the possibilities. He is the smartest QB in the game right?password;1109510 wrote:Why would an athlete still compete after the injury he had? SonofanumpIf winning was #1, without money concerns, I'd think that San Fran, Houston, Denver then NY Jets in that order.

Laley23He is perfectly healthy in terms of danger to his neck and being even more severly hurt. Its all about regenerating nerves so he can get his arm strength back. The neck is fine at this point, from everything people involved have said.

He is one of the best When it comes to football knowledge, along with Brady. We will just have to wait for the season to start and see how he performs.Skyhook79;1109513 wrote:Because Peyton said he wants to play. It's his choice and his decision. If we're being completely honest, one hit can end ANY football players' life. Yes, Peyton has won MVP's, has a ring, and has more money than most human beings could even fathom, but he also has something else: A LOVE FOR THE GAME. As has been evident in the recent past, players who truly love the game have an incredibly difficult time walking away from it even when they are old, let alone if they believe they can still play. I don't think there is a right or wrong decision here. People would be disappointed if Peyton chose to walk away from the game, but they would understand. Inversely, you can't blame the guy for wanting to do something that he loves...password;1109510 wrote:Why would an athlete still compete after the injury he had? This. Tom Brady has more money than he can ever spend, and has secured his legacy as an all-time great. Why go out there and risk his long term health anymore?Dr. KnOiTaLL;1109553 wrote:If we're being completely honest, one hit can end ANY football players' life. -

Nerves are not capable of regeneration. Possibly, he can regenerate his muscle and coordination to regain his physical form of the past.Laley23;1109548 wrote:He is perfectly healthy in terms of danger to his neck and being even more severly hurt. Manhattan Buckeye" think Favre is a super douche, but he was 1 game away from the SB two years ago and if I'm not mistaken he had the best statistical season of his career."
No kidding, Favre had a great year with the Vikes before the Williams bounty defense took him down. -

(edit) Latest gossip on espn has him going to Denver, saying he does not want to be in the AFC East. -

[/h][h=6]Denver Post is correct. Peyton Manning is en route to Denver to visit the Broncos. First visit does not mean Denver is leader in clubhouse.[/h]

Manning wants to start not be a back-up. Probably doing this to leverage a better deal somewhere else. Smart man that Manning is.chicago510;1110121 wrote:Adam Schefter

IggyPride00Any QB, be it Manning or anyone else, would be nuts to go near the Broncos roster as long as Tebow is on it. The first bad pass, the first interception....and the Tebow chants begin if he is supplanted. Why on earth would anyone ever willingly put themselves through that.

I don't think all Tebow fans are Bronco fans necessarily, which is why they wouldn't care who was QBing if it wasn't Timmy.BR1986FB;1110231 wrote:Because Timmy is Jesus while Manning is GOD.
Look how many Browns fans want Colt to QB the team even if a better option comes along. With some people there is just no reasoning.
