And on cue the kicker misses the XP to keep it a one score game.

Not sure if its been mentioned on here yet, but the Phillies have won a game more recently than the Eagles.

Eagles have released DE Jason Babin who had 18 sacks last year (5.5 this year).

Hope Browns take a chance, they wont though.

I was shocked when I just read Babin was released.

Wow, surprised to see Babin released as well. Would not be surprised if New Orleans picks him up but I'm not sure he'll last that long.

He's leading the team in sacks. Wtf?

I'd love the Ravens to grab him but there is no way a team won't grab him off waivers.

The teams that he fits the best are the Lions & Bengals because they both run wide 9's but I don't see either of them putting in a claim.

He might fit nice as a situational pass rusher, opposite of Suggs, in Baltimore but not an every down (doesn't fit scheme) player.

If I had to bet, I'm going with New England claiming him and eating the contract. This smells of a Belichick reclamation project (troubled player/change of scenery).

Kaepernick named the starter for SF this weekend. Thoughts?

Does this mean the end of Alex Smith in SF?

    Yes.

Poor old Babin. He gets cut from Philly and Jacksonville claims him off waivers.
  • Rotinaj
This may be a stupid question but what is the reason behind a player not being able to go wherever he wants if he's released?

    Probably to prevent collusion.

    Has to clear waivers first.

Redskins & Bills were the only others to put in waiver claims.
