The trio of Woods, Mickelson and Watson will begin play on the ninth hole, and that is not a typo.Due to the proximity of the ninth tee to the Olympic Clubhouse, the U.S. Open will send players off holes No. 1 and No. 9 (instead of 10) during the first two rounds. The first tee time is at 10 a.m. off the ninth tee with Shane Bertsch, Martin Flores and Tommy Biershenk. -
karen lotzShotgun would be better

understand nine might closer to the clubhouse (which is weird in itself) but are there not golf carts at olympic club for transportation out to ten?wildcats20;1192620 wrote:Interesting. I figured you were saying back 9 and just forgot the word back lol -

Not sure....but glad it was as I could watch the finish.
In my meaty-oker life I went out and played a round a golf (6 some of my 20 year reunion pals) for the first time in almost 2 years.....shot a +8 80. Quite happy! -

I played walden ponds twice last week and shot 84, 86. Nice round by ironman if it's truly legit. -

It was unreal. Lipped out two eagle putts and a couple Birdie putts as well. We left ourselves 12 foot sliders all day. -
wildcats20Not important at all...but someone just tweeted at Keegan Bradley saying this..
country club boy, you will never win a major -

It was pretty fun....I was a 2-4 handicap on an easier course from age 18-24....but I haven't played much other than 2 years ago.....haven't played since. the guys I played with all golf regularly....I finished a few shots off the top guy but my goal early was just keep it simple and short and keep your flipping head down. All day I only hit one really bad shot.....never playing, I was awful from 100-175 all day, driving and chipping was like I never stopped playing......but only made a 6 footer and an 8 footer putting. My biggest brag....I had no 6's and nothing but pars and bogeys all 18 holes. -

Yeah, the biggest part of my game that needs work is the approach shots. I can hit my driver straight and anywhere from 270-285. I just always seem to fuck up my irons from that 100-175 range. My accuracy is awful and I sometimes get way too under the ball. My biggest weakness used to be my driver, but I fixed that. Just need to work on my iron approach and I should be in that high 70's range.Ironman92;1194928 wrote:It was pretty fun....I was a 2-4 handicap on an easier course from age 18-24....but I haven't played much other than 2 years ago.....haven't played since. the guys I played with all golf regularly....I finished a few shots off the top guy but my goal early was just keep it simple and short and keep your flipping head down. What courses do you usually play? Me you and Justin should go play sometime. I've not played a course out past Kenwood in probably 3 years. I usually just stick to courses in Kentucky and the west side. -
DeyDurkie5
I stick to courses by my area. Walden Ponds, Beckett ridge, Greencrest, weatherwax if I feel like driving to middletown. It really just depends on the golfnow pricing and the time I can go. I would be down to get a round in with you guys.Terry_Tate;1195087 wrote:What courses do you usually play? Me you and Justin should go play sometime. Golfnow is awesome. I see those courses on there but they're all about 40 minutes from me so not worth the drive when there are half a dozen courses that are 15-20 minutes away from my house. We'll have to set something up to get out soon.DeyDurkie5;1195099 wrote:I stick to courses by my area. Walden Ponds, Beckett ridge, Greencrest, weatherwax if I feel like driving to middletown. se-alumJust saw that Tiger, Phil, and Bubba will play together the first 2 rounds of the U.S. Open. That should be fun to watch.
