Ward will get in eventually, but not on first ballot.like_that;1076199 wrote:What did he say.
Also, I can't help but lol at rock crying, because I said Whines Ward wouldn't be a first ballot HOF, and was a borderline HOFer at best. If Cris Carter has to wait this long, Whines Ward sure as hell won't be a first ballot HOFer. -
Little DannyChris Carter snubbed: C'Mon man!

Christ you effin HOF voting morons. The guy has top 3 all-time receiving stats.....known for catching touchdowns and having some of the best hands in football history.
He's a HOF lock....get your heads outta your asses.

8th in td's and 4th for just wr -
TBone14Fine with Martin in before the bus...but let me pose this question.
You need to win one game to save your life. You can choose either Curtis Martin is his absolute prime or Jerome Bettis in his absolute prime to be your running back.
I would choose the Bus. If I was starting a team, I would take Martin. Always in shape. Consistent. Worker. Love both guys and they both deserve the honor. -

Betis wasn't in his prime but that was a "save your life play" and Bettis fumbled. Good thing Big Ben was lucky to make the tackle. -

The longevity factor is what gets Martin into the HOF first. Looking at who you would take for one game at his prime is a completely different question. I would take Bo Jackson at his prime for one game over either of the guys, but it doesn't mean that Bo is a hall of famer.TBone14;1077139 wrote:Fine with Martin in before the bus...but let me pose this question.

But that's not the question. There are a bunch of guys I would choose over either Bettis or Martin for one game.Al Bundy;1077207 wrote:The longevity factor is what gets Martin into the HOF first. TiernanWR will always be a tough HOF nut to crack just because everybody gets unfairly compared to Rice. Carter will eventually get in but it will be a couple more years.

TiernanA year ago I said Favre would not get into the HOF on the first ballot and everyone went crazy saying he was a shoe-in. What do you all think now with the talk about "elite" QBs? No way is Favre even in the same conversation with elite QBs. Hell I'm betting most Green Bay fans now consider Rodgers a better QB than Fayre.

If Favre doesn't get in on the first ballot, I believe it will be less about his qualifications and more about the reason both Carter and Jerry Kramer are on the outside looking in - the asshat factor.Tiernan;1077455 wrote:A year ago I said Favre would not get into the HOF on the first ballot and everyone went crazy saying he was a shoe-in. Good thing for a couple generations of running backs that Jim Brown decided to hang it up in his prime.Tiernan;1077445 wrote:WR will always be a tough HOF nut to crack just because everybody gets unfairly compared to Rice. Carter will eventually get in but it will be a couple more years. -
thavoiceMartin deserved it. Bettis does as well and he should get in, and will.
Carter not making it is an absolute J O K E. -

Anyone else win 3 straight NFL MVP's? smh at Favre not being First Ballot HOF'er.Tiernan;1077455 wrote:A year ago I said Favre would not get into the HOF on the first ballot and everyone went crazy saying he was a shoe-in. thavoiceFavre should be a first ballot guy. His TD/INT ratio isnt the greatest in the world, but he still is a first ballot HOF guy.

Tigerfan00The HOF better get used to more WR's getting in with it being a pass first mentality in the NFL. How many teams use two RB's now and look how often some of them sit out now, there are going to be fewer and fewer at the position who dont even get to 10,000 yards.
The QB and WR positions are going to be the big ones getting inducted, just look at some of the recent numbers some of them are putting up. Terrell Owens and Randy Moss put up insane numbers. After Bettis gets in, I dont really see anymore sure locks for the Hall at the RB position. The next highest in career rushing yards after Bettis is Edgerrin James and he sits at #11. Tomlinson will be a lock when his time is done. -
TiernanRandy Moss and Carter have been sniping on Twitter...Carter said Moss is the biggest Quitter in all sports and Moss fired back with you were the worst mentor of all time when we were in Minn together and how did that HOF thing work out for ya?
I Love it when two total douche bags fight.
