I have always had my doubts about him. I know it's easy to say that now and I thought when he was hurt they should have cut him in favor of Shayne Graham.bigdaddy2003;1062339 wrote:Yes it does. Flacco shows up, most of the rest of the offense shows up, the D shows up, and Billy Cundiff ruins the day.

I hope all the older guys come back for another run at a ring. -
HitsRusThe FG just seemed rushed, I would have called a timeout. I don't give a **** though I hate the rat birds glad those piece of ****s aren't in the SB.
This. The snap got off just as the play clock was hitting zero. -

It is easy to say that now. Cundiff has been really good the last couple years. He just rushed it tonight. -
HereticMan, my condolences to you, Bigdaddy. I don't like your team, but that's a horrible way to go. Evans not being able to hold onto the ball on what could have won the game and then Cundiff choking.
I'd congratulate RawDawg for his team's win...but after a game like that, I'd hope he'd be too busy with celebration hookers to notice. -

He had one of the lowest FG%s in the league this year.pnhasbeen;1062428 wrote:It is easy to say that now. Cundiff has been really good the last couple years. He just rushed it tonight. -
gerb131He was 1-6 from 50+ thats why they didnt kick it the first time.

I wanted to look it up before I posted because I had always felt that Cundiff was terrible(So glad when the Cowboys cut him). I guess before this year he had been pretty good after his Cowboy days(44 for 53) but this year he was awful(28 for 37).pnhasbeen;1062428 wrote:It is easy to say that now. said_aouitaWonder what CFL team he will be kicking for next year?

That is why another coach got crucified for calling a TO in a similar situation! I think it was the right call to call TO in both situations!HitsRus;1062427 wrote:This. The snap got off just as the play clock was hitting zero. -

The Ravens had a great game plan on offense. They had 400 yds total offense.landshark0731;1062358 wrote:Yea had a chance but didn't get close enough to 100. Cameron is an awful playcaller, hopefully Harbaugh let's him go. Pats did enough to win. Was a great game! -

LOL no. Im pretty sure there was like 5 seconds left on the play clock when the Cowboys called their timeout.mhs95_06;1062463 wrote:That is why another coach got crucified for calling a TO in a similar situation! I think it was the right call to call TO in both situations! -

BR1986FBBilly Cundiff: "We can just keep things simple. It’s a kick I’ve kicked a thousand times. I just went out there and didn’t convert."

Well if we're going to bring stats and facts into this, I'm leaving. -

Thanks man and yes it's pretty crappy. I was pretty pumped all game that Flacco showed up to play, then he threw that pick, then Jimmy Smith makes a pretty sweet pick to give the Ravens one more chance, then Flacco gets the ball to Evans in the end zone and he can't keep the ball, and then Cundiff misses the field goal to end the game.Heretic;1062439 wrote:Man, my condolences to you, Bigdaddy. I Am AhabIMO, Flacco saved himself today in the eyes of the fans. I felt like if Flacco was a no show today he couldn't take this team where it needed to go. The pick was poor and a terrible spot to throw one but I thought he made some very solid throws. He looked real good once he found some rhythm and gained confidence. Then he was able to make decisions and use his mobility instead of dancing around waiting to be strip sacked. Evened has to hang onto that ball, man. For real.
Flacco was a little too confident on the interception but hey. He gave em a chance afterward. He should have saved his job though I think either way he was going to be the QB of he future. I think his job should have hinged on his performance in this playoff though. He needs to either become consistent and if he can't the org needs to head in another direction. He bought himself another year in my eyes. -
Laley23Flacco was treeding on thin ice after that bad pick. The defense gave him another chance, and he delivered. Saved himself another year in my eyes, and proved himself. Not 100%, but enough that I think he took a step in the right direction down the stretch this season and today especially.

stlouiedipalmamhs95_06;1062282 wrote:They probably did a quick review, but I'm saying take time to thoroughly consider it. Doesn't the ref on the field make the final decision when he goes to review? Need to let him decide that important of a play.
I know you have to prove possession by maintaining possession thru a collision with the ground, if you have one, but coming in and stripping it doesn't prove you didn't have valid possession after you took three steps with the ball on which the play should be over once you have possession beyond the plane. Now if that play happened at the 20 yd line, I'll bet they would rule a fumble!
This is an example of why I don't like the field official looking at the review. Overturning a tough call lets everyone know you (or one of your crew) got it wrong. No one wants to admit they made a mistake. That's where I think college football has the best review policy. Impartial folks upstairs make the call.
Still, I think the NFL shot themselves in the foot by not taking the time and doing a thorough review. If nothing else, it would have shown that they wanted to make sure to everyone that they got the call right. By not reviewing the play they left themselves wide open to criticism. -
georgemc80I found this and found it plausible, but not likely.
