Yeah but will he call the plays? Even still, if Shurmur is head coach, and the (new) OC calls a pass play on 2nd & GL with less than 10 seconds before the half, is he going to overrule him and run the ball?

This hurts, because it's not anyone's fault but Shurmur's, and he's got Holmgren's vote of confidence for as long as he wants to stay in Cleveland. Shurmur will stand in his press conference and talk about how the players need to execute and play better, when in all reality, Shurmur should be the one executed at the podium for his inept ability to succeed at life.

I think Mike Sherman might be a candidate.

If the Browns don't improve next year, Shurmur is gone. Plain and simple. You don't need to come in and take the team to the playoffs right away as a new coach with a shitty team, but you sure as hell have to improve the team. No improvement next year is inexcusable.

    Shurmur somehow keeps outdoing himself.

Like the Dumb and Dumber scene.

If you're so football retarded you can't pass the ball in that situation, you shouldn't be coaching an NFL team. He needs to GTFO.

I really hate getting a new coach after new coach. The franchise needs some stability. With that being said, I would love Shurmur to get canned, but i think we all know realistically he will be given another year to improve this team.

The only reason I want to keep him is the embarrassment of immediately firing a coach after one year. But I know there's no chance of that happening.

I was thinking the same thing. Nice to see him finally get in the endzone, but that might have been the slowest punt return td I have ever seen.

He isn't their best weapon sorry. He isn't what he was as far as 3 years ago. I like Cribbs, but if the Browns lost him, it wouldn't hurt the team that much anymore.

    Flacco for 32
  • Crimson streak
Wow how do you let flacco run 40 yards
