lhslep134As much I would actually want Jamison back, especially at a reasonable price, I think (and you spoke to it Mulva) I'd rather have the young guys go through their growing pains now, and if we miss the playoffs then get a lottery pick for a third year in a row.

What do you do with Gee? Sounds like the Suns will offer him a multi-year deal around 4 mil a yearlhslep134;1169417 wrote:As much I would actually want Jamison back, especially at a reasonable price, I think (and you spoke to it Mulva) I'd rather have the young guys go through their growing pains now, and if we miss the playoffs then get a lottery pick for a third year in a row. -

I think you let him go. I like his game, but he is only a complimentary piece...not worth a ton of money.KR1245;1169436 wrote:What do you do with Gee? Sounds like the Suns will offer him a multi-year deal around 4 mil a year -

Ugh. I'd rather have Gee than Boobie, but it seems to there that the talent available to draft at 33,34 at the SG/SF position is better than at PG, so I'd rather have Boobie and his contract than Gee.KR1245;1169436 wrote:What do you do with Gee? Best case scenario is being able to address Gee and his contract after the draft when we know better what we're working with. -
hoops23I'll have to double check, but I believe Boobie has a team option for this upcoming season.. If so, I wonder if they'll even bring him back.
I liike Gee and think he could be a solid role player, especially since he's improved so much in 1 season and is only 24 or so. I wouldn't spend more than 4 million with multiple years though.
I think the Cavs target SG/SF unless they win the lottery. -

i think boobie's contract is only partially guaranteed for next year. and im of the same opinion on gee. like him but don't like him enough to get in a bidding war with phoenix (most i'd do is 2-3 yrs at about 3-3.5 mil per)hoops23;1169605 wrote:I'll have to double check, but I believe Boobie has a team option for this upcoming season.. MulvaI would consider matching Gee at $4 mil/year. I would not pick up Boobie at $4.8 mil.
-
Crimson streakBoobie is as good as gone. I really want to keep gee. I love his game. It would really like to keep him but at 4 mill a year I dk if he's worth it.
-
hoops23I think Gee is definitely worth 4 million a year. I just don't think I'd go over that 4 million mark... Wouldn't want to give him 5 or 6 unless there are no other real options.
Depending on the Cavs draft, I'd like to see us target OJ Mayo if the price is right. You don't want to ruin your entire cap space situation. -

sleeperMKG would work but I'm still hoping we get the #1 overall pick and select Anthony Davis.
-
hoops23So does nobody else think Anthony Davis could be a bust?
He's lengthy but very small in terms of build. His post game is lacking too.
I just don't know if he can dominate against people who will be the same size, an in most cases much bigger.
For some reason, I could see him ending up like Anthony Randolph or Tyrus Thomas or even Brandan Wright. -
sleeperHe might be slightly overrated but I think it would be fun to watch Irving lob it up to TT and AD for the rest of his Cleveland career. I see Davis being one of the greatest shot blocks of all time too and a annual DPOY. He'll develop some semblance of a post game as well as he ages.

Wooball
Sure, he could bust, but I think the odds are pretty low. Going back and watching his highlights from UK and then watching his offensive skills shown in high school and all-star games really has me excited for tomorrow night. Looks like a young KG w/ Camby's shot-blocking ability. Definitely needs to add strength, but I think he will be fine. Him paired with TT would be a tremendous rim-protecting frontcourt. Would really allow your wings to be aggressive in passing lanes.hoops23;1183814 wrote:So does nobody else think Anthony Davis could be a bust?

Just watched more video of him and KG in his high school/T'Wolves days and really see a lot of similarities in their games. UK didn't ask AD to shoot from the perimeter or initiate much of the offense, but he has the skills to knock down shots and can beat a bigger guy off the bounce and even pull up from 10-15'. I really like his upside as an offensive player. -

I don't think he'll bust, but I don't want him on the Cavs at all. I'm actually hoping we don't get the #1 pick.hoops23;1183814 wrote:So does nobody else think Anthony Davis could be a bust?

Midstate01I'm hoping for MKG or Beal.

Agreed I really like beal -
BR1986FBQuestion on the radio this afternoon: Would you surrender the Cavs top pick in this draft if it guaranteed that Lebron & the Heat would never win a ring going forward?
-
Hb31187Davis reminds me of Brendan Wright/Anthony Randolph and a few other long skinny shot blocking post players. I def think he could be a bust

Nope.BR1986FB;1184117 wrote:Question on the radio this afternoon: Would you surrender the Cavs top pick in this draft if it guaranteed that Lebron & the Heat would never win a ring going forward?
I'm more concerned about my actual team than I am on whether or not LeBron will win a title with the Heat. -

KR1245Like Beal but his size worries me a little bit.
I'm sticking with MKG, the kids motor doesnt stop. I know he has a little hitch in his jumper and needs to work on his handles but I think those things can be taught. He has some nice size and looks like he could be an elite defender. I wouldnt be upset with Beal though
