RotinajI was only able 2 catch the tail end of the 4th q and was curious as 2 why Iriving only had 1 assist all game? I saw he had 21 shots, was he just looking 2 score or what?

With Gibson and Parker both out, Irving and Sessions were on the floor a lot together it seemed. When they were, Irving was playing the 2 and looking to score.Rotinaj;1090877 wrote:I was only able 2 catch the tail end of the 4th q and was curious as 2 why Iriving only had 1 assist all game? I thought that was odd as well.Rotinaj;1090877 wrote:I was only able 2 catch the tail end of the 4th q and was curious as 2 why Iriving only had 1 assist all game? I saw he had 21 shots, was he just looking 2 score or what? -

Did you still think that after reading wooballs post? -

Yes I do, the #1 overall pick, and the teams starting PG only as 1 ast in a win is an odd stat.bases_loaded;1090928 wrote:Did you still think that after reading wooballs post? -

Oh is it still odd when he's playing the 2 a lot of the game -

A little bit, yeah.bases_loaded;1090938 wrote:Oh is it still odd when he's playing the 2 a lot of the game -

Most 2s, get more than 1 ast a game. Especially a talented passed like Irving. Hell Parker is avg a bit over 2 ast a game.lhslep134;1090944 wrote:A little bit, yeah. -

I'd say the 2 starting wings Casspi(3-12) and Gee(3-10) throwing up bricks all night didn't help out his assist totals either.Commander of Awesome;1090947 wrote:Most 2s, get more than 1 ast a game. Especially a talented passed like Irving. Hell Parker is avg a bit over 2 ast a game. -
SportsAndLadyYeah you'd think just by chance if you play that many minutes at the 2 you'll get at least 3 assists, even if it's just by making a simple pass and that person knocking down a tough shot.
1 assist is very odd, hopefully that's just a one time thing -

Yeah I mean I think he had a few more assist opportunities but players were fouled or missed the shot. It happens. Doesn't mean anything but odd to see.Commander of Awesome;1090947 wrote:Most 2s, get more than 1 ast a game. Especially a talented passed like Irving. Hell Parker is avg a bit over 2 ast a game. -

I agree. Jamison is almost done, and he's a HUGE upgrade to what we have now at PF. Luke Harangody? Ya rite. -

He had some nice looks to other players, but as one of the reasons he isn't averaging more APG, they just missed the shots..Rotinaj;1090877 wrote:I was only able 2 catch the tail end of the 4th q and was curious as 2 why Iriving only had 1 assist all game? He hit Casspi and Gee for some good looks at 3's that they missed... He also hit a couple of the bigs, especially Twan, with some good looks inside that they couldn't knock down.
He probably should have had at least 5 assists in that game.. No question he started to look for his own game though. I think sometimes he feels like when others aren't knocking down shots, it's better if he just takes over.
Him playing the 2 for some of the game has to do with Byron Scott's offense though. Scott always talks about how he likes to have two great ball handlers on the court at the same time. Kyrie is a much better shooter/scorer than Sessions, so it makes more sense to have him play off the ball when both are on the court. -

I'm not advocating for JJ to be brought back, but I always thought he would eventually "click." I thought that came in the second half of last season when he averaged 16/11 while having some monster games. Strangely, his big games came as he was playing C and not PF...ichsnjb;1091352 wrote:I agree. Jamison is almost done, and he's a HUGE upgrade to what we have now at PF. Luke Harangody? Ya rite.
I think he's better than Luke, Erden, and Hollins, so if he came CHEAP I wouldn't mind it. He's only going to be 25 next season, I believe..
It's also refreshing to see some athletes (Mo, JJ) who didn't want to leave Cleveland.. -
TigerNation10Cavs signed Manny Harris to a 10-day contract.

Wonder if he will get any PT? Boobie and Parker both practiced yesterday, not sure if either will be active for tonight's game. There shouldn't be much time needed to refresh Manny on the offense and defense.TigerNation10;1091875 wrote:Cavs signed Manny Harris to a 10-day contract. -
Y-Town SteelhoundManny has been tearing it up in Canton so this is a great move at the very least for some depth. Adding Harris allows Gee to spend more time at his natural position of SF. He's been most effective this season coming off the bench for Casspi.

Apparently Boobie will be active but it's unknown whether or not he will start.Wooball;1091900 wrote:Wonder if he will get any PT? MulvaDown 11 at half to Detroit. Pistons are actually playing really well lately, 7-2 in their last 9 games.
Been watching Ohio State mostly, but it looks like Kyrie had a rough 1st half. -
gerb131jamison has half the points if that tells you anything.
