Pittsburgh Steelers (7-3) bye week

    rest of the schedule

    11/27 - at Kansas City, 8:20 p.m.
    12/4 - Cincinnati, 1 p.m.
    12/8 - Cleveland, 8:20 p.m.
    12/19 - at San Francisco, 8:30 p.m.
    12/24 - St. Louis, 1 p.m.
    1/1 - at Cleveland, 1 p.m.

    Three primetime games.

Not a killer of a schedule but have to be careful with the division rivals and trips to Kansas City and San Francisco.

Also, not much of a turnaround playing on 12/4 and 12/8 and then again on Monday night 12/19 and Saturday 12/24.

Take a week and get healthy. Take a week and work on some new offense.

    We will be all right.

4 wins should get them in the playoffs

nothing is for certain in the NFL but if they get Cleveland twice and St. Louis that's 10...need one more out of Cincinnati, Kansas City or San Francisco

I see 4 if not 5 wins there. Playoffs for sure.

I hate the bye week, but this year I'm glad the Steelers have a late bye to heal up for the stretch run. Seems like it's usually week 4 or 5.

Only game I see them losing is to San Fran.

At KC is trappy. They'll be loud for primetime.

They'll play their best game of the season and win by 17.

Thank you Seattle Seahawks! Seattle 22 Baltimorons 17. Ratbirds play well against good teams and play like shit against bad ones.

So do I. San Fran and MAYBE home against Cincy could be dangerous. K.C. is a bad team, but if the Steelers come out of the bye a bit rusty, I guess that could be a trap game.

Then again, this is what makes me nervous. When I look at the schedule and am thinking 6-0 is easily doable and I find myself having to stretch for reasons why one or more teams COULD beat them, that's when disaster always happens and they struggle way more than anyone would expect. And when four of those six games are against the "offenses" brought out by Cleveland, K.C. and St. Louis, it does seem incomprehensible that they could lose any of those games barring utter turnover-fest meltdowns. Which worries me.

    Baltimorons? Wow

Baltimore has played down on two bad teams levels but don't expect them to lose every game against bad teams.

I would easily take a bet +17 for the 49ers.

Quite a trap game. KC is all over the board this season.

Would you have taken NE +7.5 at Pittsburgh?

Obviously 17 point victory is not bet worthy....but Pittsburgh had a knack of playing great against big time opponents outside of their division.

Yes I would have...I actually bet NE to win in Pittsburgh.

Yeah 17 points is a lot I still think it was be a close game probably decided by a FG. I just really love the way the 49ers have played all season long and Alex Smith is doing everything right to not lose games. I honestly will probably pick them to win too.

I think if the Steelers win every game until San Francisco, they may drop that one.

If they truly need it I like their chances.

Also, San Fran will have their division locked up by then and possibly could be locked into a playoff seed.

Who knows what will happen the rest of the way but it has been an encouraging few days from the Steelers perspective.

After losing that game to Baltimore.

Steelers beat Bengals, Ravens lose to the Seahawks. Schaub injured for the Texans. Cassel out for the Chiefs, who the Steelers play next.

And for good measure, the Browns lose in hilarious fashion.

Ben has a small break in his right thumb. He said he's playing in the next game though.
