I just saw that they actually cut Ray a check for 20k for that hit.

Ryan Clark hit someone in the jaw with the crown of his helmet (aka spearing) He's lucky he didn't break his own neck and lucky he didn't get ejected.

It appeared he led w/ his shoulder in stride, but yes helmets made contact. I wouldn't really call that "spearing."

Here is the hit again. I really don't know what you are supposed to do in that situation. Your job is to break up the play so you must get there as quickly as possible. Do you let up?

do you guys not understand helmet to helmet?

Watch at the 42 second mark. I don't think it was intentional, just sloppy mechanics. If his head is up like it should be, then there is no penalty. The problem is he has his head down, something you are taught from peewee football on up. He clearly hits with the very top of his head, which is why the fine was so high.

I understand, but the he was flagged for "hitting a defenseless receiver."

I'm not saying it shouldn't have been flagged....it should have definitely. I'm asking....wtf are you supposed to do in that situation? Like I said he leads w/ the shoulder, yet helmets make contact. Do you pull up?

    Bad feeling about this game.

I think the Steelers are going to lose similar to the game a couple years ago when the Bengals won in the closing seconds when Brian Leonard got the big first down.

Steelers will fall to 6-4 and they'll be some talk that they might be in trouble...but then they'll come back after the bye and win out or 5 of 6 and make the playoffs.

No, I was over it about 10 minutes after the game. I know Pittsburgh has the ability to bounce back, something the Cleveland Browns know nothing about.

This game will come down to each qb's ability to extend plays with their feet. Steelers oline is in shambles and Dalton will be under pressure from the steelers making him beat them an stacking against the run. Also turnovers will be huge as the bengals of late have had a knack for creating the big one. Bengals win on a last second throw to Adrial Jeremiah Green. 28-24 bengals

I agree with this, Dalton will have to make serious plays if Cincy has a chance and I just don't see it happening. When was the last time a rookie QB did the damn thing against Pittsburgh's D? If they rattle him, they win.

I have been impressed with the Bengal's D, they have the potential to wreak havoc in the backfield. I'd like to see Pittsburgh do what they do best.....establish the run to setup the PA pass.

That wont be easy Auto we have one of the best rush defenses in the nfl.

Yeah that worries me and Pitts hasn't ran the ball that effectively the past few weeks. It will be an interesting game, I'm not sure what to expect. I think they need to harass Dalton early and often and hopefully the rest will fall into place.

I'm a huge bengals fan but I think Roth will keep enough plays alive with his feet and his wr burn us on a couple. It will be a good wake up call to this team on how much more they need to improve. This game means more for the steelers then it does the bengals. Bengals need to win their three easier games and sneak a win against Balt or Pitt when their asleep.

My Jackson Ironmen lost Friday in the state football playoffs, OSU was ridiculous and lost and the Steelers must go into the Jungle to face the hot Bengals....the catch, only 3 times since 1992 have all 3 of my teams lost in the same weekend. Almost unbelievable but true.....putting big bucks on the Bengals.

I'd say a lot of that has to do with how good the other 2 have been in the past...not sure it really means the Bengals are destined, but I like your thinking.
