I didnt say it was doubtful, just that I disagree it will happen. Certainly could. But I dont like the way Baltimore is trending right now on offense. Flacco has been dreadful for a month. The defense is better than I thought it would be this year (really didnt give up much to Arizona), but in the playoffs, I would be just as shocked if Baltimore wins in the Divisional game as if they lose in the same game. I put them at 50-50 in any game they play in fact (I started with divisional because right now they have the bye right?).Non;955282 wrote:A lot depends on how the seeds go. I would say it's a strong bet that the AFC Championship Game is Ravens/Steelers or Steelers/Patriots or Patriots/Ravens. Things are changing but at this point those are probably the most likely if you asked a hundred people. You certainly can't say Ravens vs. Steelers is doubtful. That's just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing.
Either way, I just dont think this game going in should be billed as the game of the year, not with some potential match-ups looming in the last few weeks of the year as well as the fact the first game was a blowout. I certainly dont think this one will be, but you cant discount that score when talking about the second match-up. -

I look at it like this. In the NFC you have the Packers...and then who might be a team that will challenge the Packers?Iliketurtles;955288 wrote:I disagree with you about Sanchez. I think we both have the same opinion about the Lions just Im a little higher on them than you. As for the Ravens/Steelers I already had them as the best rivalry right now but I just said it was debatable(I'd say the Colts/Pats are right there with them).
Saints, Eagles, maybe Falcons if they get it together...the teams that have just bursted onto the scene like the 49ers and Lions I can't take them too seriously yet as far as going on a playoff run to the Super Bowl...I feel the same about the Bills...I'd say Steelers, Patriots, Ravens and Jets as likely Super Bowl teams before Buffalo -
ts1227FOX games hammered out, including a couple of the markets on the river switching to TB/NO.

Id throw the G-Men into that as well on the NFC side. Them and the Eagles I think can really challenge the Pack on a good day, just not every day. Saints, though they played them tough, I dont think can ever stop the Pack. Giants and Eagles have a defense that can make some plays/get key stops.Non;955360 wrote:I look at it like this. Turtles said it was doubtful when I said it was likely. It's certainly a possibility, as good as any, right now. New England has issues, too.Laley23;955359 wrote:I didnt say it was doubtful, just that I disagree it will happen. Certainly could. But I dont like the way Baltimore is trending right now on offense. This game is one of the potential Games of the Year. Last year the late season game had huge ramifications. Maybe it wasn't that well played but still close late and it had a major impact on the AFC North title. Big reason why the Steelers made it to the Super Bowl, after getting the home playoff games. There is so much recent history between these teams...two extra playoff games aside from the regular season games...big name players and characters...two typically physical teams...heated, nasty...and even though it's somewhat early I still think there is a good chance the winner of this game ends up winning the divison when it's all said and done -
NonI really think the Steelers are on the verge here. If they can win this ballgame, I seriously don't think they're going to come back to the field. It's going to be No. 1 or No. 2 seed.
The biggest problem right now is just that Harrison is out and Woodley got hurt so that might prevent them from winning this game. And then a loss could set them back quite a bit in terms of potential seeding because they lost both games to the Ravens.
The Bengals game will be tough but I expect them to pull it out.
Then after the bye they'll be healthier, stronger and deeper. -

Ravens unless Flacco gets it together
Pats unless Pass D comes together
Steelers unless they get healthy and O-Line picks it up. -

I pretty much had this one correct. Jets were coming on and not many saw it coming, except me.Non;955211 wrote:Jets are under the radar. I like their chances more than the Bills despite the difference in record. -

O-line has already picked it up with Max Starks coming back and the rookie Marcus Gilbert getting more comfortable at right tackle.Laley23;958743 wrote:But you could say that about each AFC team.

They'll get healthier.
If the Steelers beat the Ravens they're in real good shape. A loss doesn't mean they're finished but it will be a lot tougher road to overcome the two losses in the division.
