IliketurtlesNon, I don't think anyone will deny that this should be a great game. But to be calling it the game of the year is just dumb it might end up that way but lets what and see what happens. And Im not complaining because its not my team in the game even if I was a Steeler/Raven fan I'd have the same fucking opinion I do now.
Also
Best Rivialry- That is debatable.
AFC Championship Preview- Doubtful I think one of these teams will get there and the Bills or Pats will be the other team.
Green Bay will not waltz to the Super Bowl. And no Drama in the NFC? I can tell you really don't watch/pay attention to games outside of the Steelers. -

Most of the NFL experts look at Steelers/Ravens as the best rivalry going.
Pats were not that impressive. Bills are a long shot still. Steelers and Ravens are probably 1-2 in the AFC right now so I don't see how it's doubtful for an AFC Championship.
Packers are clearly the best team in the NFL. They'll have home field at Lambeau. Going to be unlikely for them to get knocked off in the NFC. -
NonAt this point, there is no regular season game that looks more intriguing.
Maybe Packers/Lions because it's on Thanksgiving but the Lions are not considered a legitimate threat, yet. -

AutomatikThe GB/Detroit game is going to be badass. In recent years, I can't think of a better Thanksgiving matchup.
As for the best rivalry debate. I'd say Pittsburgh/Baltimore followed by Indy/NE. -

Fox has the doubleheader. In Cincy, they're going to show the Bengals game.DeyDurkie5;954936 wrote:what the hell cinci, can't show the browns in the 1pm slot?? -

only good thing about living in columbus was getting the browns games. cinci gets the shittiest gamescoach_bob1;955085 wrote:Fox has the doubleheader. In Cincy, they're going to show the Bengals game. -

I grew up there. It is the truth. And it's not limited to the NFL. NCAA was the same way. It was rare you'd get to see an OSU game on TV. It was usually the Michigan game.DeyDurkie5;955088 wrote:only good thing about living in columbus was getting the browns games. cinci gets the ****tiest games -

Packers/Lions and the Harbaugh Bowl 49ers vs. Ravens
if only they can swap out the Dolphins for another team vs. Cowboys -

Are you fucking kidding me? Jesus man everyone experts, fans, and women who have to suffer through watching football all had heard and thought that the Lions would be great this year and have been considered a legitimate threat to make the playoffs since the NFL draft.Non;955047 wrote:At this point, there is no regular season game that looks more intriguing.

And the Ravens #2 in the AFC LOL.
I will agree with you about one thing...this Thanksgiving will give us some great games. -

Lions are a nice surprise but there is still a lot more doubt with them than say the Steelers or Ravens or Packers. Just making the playoffs will be big for the Lions. I don't see them getting to the NFC Championship or Super Bowl.Iliketurtles;955126 wrote:Are you ****ing kidding me? Ravens are either 1, 2 or 3 in the AFC. Who is No. 1 in your opinion? -
chicago510Last time Pittsburgh played Baltimore it was like 35-7. Woop can't wait for the rematch.
GOAT game. Game of the CENTURY. In week 9.... -

Just adds another subplot. The possible revenge factor after that sound beating in week one.chicago510;955172 wrote:Last time Pittsburgh played Baltimore it was like 35-7. Woop can't wait for the rematch.

I'd go Steelers, Pats, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Chargers. I feel like the Steelers and Pats are the clear 1 and 2. And I just listed those 6 teams because I think those will be the 6 to make the playoffs in the AFC.Non;955162 wrote:Lions are a nice surprise but there is still a lot more doubt with them than say the Steelers or Ravens or Packers. As for the Lions they aren't a surprised most thought that they would be good this year and make the playoffs and once you get in the playoffs anything can happen(see Packers last year and Im sure you know this one the Steelers in 2006). -

See, just a couple weeks ago everyone laughed at the idea that the Steelers could even be No. 3 in the AFC. Now they're ready to bury Baltimore after a rough game against Jacksonville.Iliketurtles;955201 wrote:I'd go Steelers, Pats, Bills, Ravens, Texans, Chargers. Whoever wins the Steelers-Ravens game will be the top AFC team in just about every power rankings next week.
Jets are under the radar. I like their chances more than the Bills despite the difference in record.
A lot of people liked the talent the Lions were putting together but because it's been such awhile there was a wait-and-see approach. Still is. And there will be the rest of the year. They're not established at this point as a serious contender. IMO -
Iliketurtles
You listen to experts too much. I didn't write the Steelers off I actually figured they'd bounce back but they have looked even better than I expected them to. As for power ranking yeah that will probably happen because they already have them 1-2.Non;955211 wrote:See, just a couple weeks ago everyone laughed at the idea that the Steelers could even be No. 3 in the AFC. I am not sold on the Jets at all and I think the Bills to win this week. Jets offense is terrible and Fitzpatrick won't make the dumb mistakes that Romo and Rivers made throwing towards Revis late in the game.
They aren't that serious of a contender right now with Best out and Stafford seemingly having injury problems again. But that team was thought of as a contender to make the playoffs and have a good year at the start of the season. -
DeyDurkie5everything non says concerning the NFL is garbage

Laley23I agree with Non that Steelers/Ravens is the best rivalry going and have had great games. I disagree that it will be the AFC Title game as long as NE is in, I think they win. Especially if they end up with homefield (kind of up in the air).
I disagree that this game is game of the year. Especially after the 1st matchup....
This game would have to directly affect the outcome of the AFC North, and have it be a tie or 1 game lead for them. Even at that point, you are likely to have a game later in the year that is going to be just that (affect the division) but with less games to go it will likely be much more direct, if that makes sense.
Plus, it will have to be some kinda game to overtake the Bills/Pats first meeting imo. -

I does make sense and that what I meant when I listed those week 17 games.Laley23;955263 wrote:This game would have to directly affect the outcome of the AFC North, and have it be a tie or 1 game lead for them. I'd even put the Packers/Saints game above that Bills/Pats game. But yeah the Steelers/Ravens would have to be something to be better than those games. Also two other games that were great and won't be talked about a lot were the Cowbous/49ers and Cowboys/Redskins games.(Saying that makes me feel like Non ). -

I'm not a big Jets guy but Sanchez is underrated IMO. He's getting more of a chemistry with Burress. They're a driven team, somewhat like the Steelers, and they're on their way up right now without many people realizing it.Iliketurtles;955227 wrote:You listen to experts too much. Lions were viewed as an improving team with a shot at a strong year, possibly wild card, but the verdict is still out whether they'll get there. They have to do it over a full season. They slid a little before crushing Denver last week.
I would say I listen to the experts some but not that much. Probably the same as you. I'm just saying if you watch a lot of the NFL programs and have your finger on the pulse of things, you'll realize that they usually consider Ravens-Steelers to be the best rivalry going right now. -

A lot depends on how the seeds go. I would say it's a strong bet that the AFC Championship Game is Ravens/Steelers or Steelers/Patriots or Patriots/Ravens. Things are changing but at this point those are probably the most likely if you asked a hundred people. You certainly can't say Ravens vs. Steelers is doubtful. That's just disagreeing for the sake of disagreeing.Laley23;955263 wrote:I agree with Non that Steelers/Ravens is the best rivalry going and have had great games. I disagree with you about Sanchez. I think we both have the same opinion about the Lions just Im a little higher on them than you.
