The Cardinals have been EXTREMELY fortunate all postseason....everything they score on seems to just avoid the opponent.

Why did they PH German there and not Moreland or Torrealba? Washington on the nose candy again
  • mhs95_06
LaRussa wins round 1 of the managerial moves with Craig getting the RBI hit in spite of Washington bringing in Agando to face him after he was announced as the pinch hitter.

Then LaRussa wins round 2 as Washington pinch hits twice against Rzepczynski, the first two hitters after he comes in to relieve Salas with a one run lead and one out, and Rzepczynski wins both battles with outs to end the inning.

Washington pulling a "Dusty" saving his best for a more important situation that may never come!

I don't think LaRussa won round 1......no way you throw a fastball on that count.....something slow and he's hopeless.

German was pretty much what I would've looked like.

Washington is just Dusty on crack......same damn mold.

We're freezing the Rangers out with this unusually cold weather. Imagine, 10 days ago it was in the upper 80's and now we have a frost warning for tonight.

Anyone else guess right on the trivia question last night? Who was the player who appeared in the most games before ever making it to a world series? I dont know if Rhodes now holds the record or not.

I had one and only guess of Franco and was right.

Ratings for Game 1 among 18-49 were down 11% from last year:
Last night's Game 1 between the Rangers/Cardinals averaged 14.2 million viewers, down 2% from last year and more than a million viewers ahead of the record low set in game 1 of the 2006 series (Cardinals/Tigers, 12.8 million viewers). The game scored a 4.2 adults 18-49 rating, down 11% from last year's game 1.

As far as I can tell, that's the 2nd-worst-rated Game 1 since 1984, with only 2006 between the Cards and Tigers doing worse. Of course, these are just prelim numbers for now.
