Its time Cleveland fans...

For Mike Brown to be fired. He has rode LeBron long enough, he is not an offensive minded coach, and his rotations are fucking mind boggling. Why isn't one of the hottest shooters, Gibson, getting PT against the Rockets when you need points?

    Discuss.

    And who to be hired?

    I disagree, but I wouldn't completely upset.

It'd be a bad move right now--a knee jerk reaction to us losing two in a row. Have to at least let him finish the season IMO.

I brought this up in the Cavs vs Rockets thread and some disagreed with me..

There are quite a few very good coaching candidates out there
  • Trueblue23
Not sure if they could get him to leave Miami, but Pat Riley would be a great fit in Cleveland

King James will not allow this to happen unless he has a say so into who the Cavs hire next.

Do you really think this would be a good time to end Browns tenure with LBJ in the final year of his contract?
  • SQ_Crazies
No thanks on Pat Riley at this point.

    Who else is out there?
  • devil1197
Not a knee jerk reaction, I've been wanting this move for some time.

He has been hidden by LeBron and a good offensive coach last season. He was outcoached against the Magic and has made some dumbass decisions on and off the court this year that is causing friction.

That's what I'm sayin'. I'd actually budge a little bit on my guarantee that LeBron isn't leaving if they fired him right now.

We were outplayed and out matched against the Magic.

Which he would, Ferry and Gilbert are not that stupid lol.

LeBron hasn't been too happy with Brown over the Z debacle and his coaching recently has been piss poor.

It may be time to discuss Browns departure, yes, at the end of the season. No way do you even think of rocking the boat now.

Byron Scott would be my choice.

    Much rather have Mike Brown.

Well that will result in no title then if thats fine with you.

Cleveland have the players but lack in the coaching department big time. Its easy to be hidden as a coach when you have a great player like LeBron.

Brown cannot make adjustments even on defense where he is supposed to be a genius, his player rotations are crazy. Gibson last night had 13 points, 3-3 from deep and never played in the 4th quarter while Williams continued to turn the ball over and the other guards missed shots. Its small things like this where you need to understand whose hot.

This has been burning for some time, not just because the two game losing streak. He isn't the coach that will win an NBA title, mark it down.

I'm not going to defend him anymore, he has been pretty bad and seemingly getting worse. But I'm with ytown, not sure if now is the best time to let him go.

Mo was terrible, granted, but it was also very much out of character for him, so you leave him in expecting what you usually get from him. Crisp passing and a three ball threat. It didn't work out.

I'm not willing to sacrifce multiple championships for one this year should LeBron not be happy with the move.

How can you take out a guy like Gibson and not play him? He was hitting every shot last night for 3 quarters.

Its simple coaching that Brown cannot grasp. When a guy is hitting from anywhere, you keep him in for LeBron to kick to when the defense collapses.
  • dave
he's a great guy, but he has just lost his team. that's what happens in the nba if you are in one spot too long.

if you are going to make a move though, it has to be now, or very soon. you have to see what a new coach can do for awhile before the trade deadline, then decide if you need to move Z, Shaq, or stay put.

I said I'm not going to defend him. I was wondering the whole 2nd half why Boobie wasn't in there.
  • devil1197
And why did Boobie hardly play tonight?
  • ytownfootball
I can't defend Brown, in fact I won't. He makes/doesn't make the right choices in many cases. I will defend doing whatever it takes to keep the NBA's best player in Wine and Gold though.
  • SQ_Crazies
Didn't he get hurt tonight? Or was that Hickson. I missed the 1st half, I fell asleep before the game started lol.

I did notice a curious little discussion he was having on the bench with an assistant, maybe something we don't know at this point.
