Hannahan has been playing a little 1B lately it looks like. I like him and can see him there if there isnt a good 1B out there to be had. I'd keep Chisenhall as a back up 3B still if we can get one through FA or trade. Hannahan has a better glove, so i would like to keep him in the field.hoops23;885556 wrote:Fuk/Brantley/Choo and Carrera as utility OF/spot starter.
Santana to 1B, mainly because we're stuck with Hafner.
I look to trade LaPorta for something. Give Lou some extended time at C, and perhaps look for a 3B. I don't know if Lonnie can play 1B, but the 1B FA class is WEAK outside of the big names (which we're not getting). I'd move Lonnie to 1B and look to either trade for or sign a 3B.
I think Druby and Kipnis are a solid nucleus up the middle.
Whats Thome's deal for next year? he retiring or gonna want to stick it out for one more go around? -

I think this is the scenario that makes the most sense. No one is going to give Sizemore $9 million + at this point. But if they decline the option, he is a free agent. As for Grady, I've heard rumors that the Tribe would decline his option, but rework a new deal for less money, but offer him the chance to make up the cash based on performance bonuses. -
Con_AlmaThis team's number one weakness at the beginning of the season was depth. That has hurt them. The second issue coming in was offense and specifically a right-handed stick. The pitching was above average coming into the season.
This team has overall had an above average year mostly because of the good start which was a result of some very timely/lucky situational hitting. -
BR1986FBTribe up 4-2 in the 4th as Shelley Duncan is in full out beast mode with TWO 2R Jacks off Verlander...
-
Laley23Im not saying he is the answer. But Shelly Duncan really should have gotten steady PT this season. Even at .250 its exactly what we needed. Someone who may have belted 25 HRs from the right side. Now,

BR1986FBMasterson escapes a bases loaded jam by getting V-Mart with two out in the 5th. Tribe coming to bat up 4-2...
-
BR1986FB4-3 Tribe top of the 7th...bases loaded, nobody out with V-Mart at the plate. This won't end well...
-
ts1227Lets be fair, it's 4-3 Shelly Duncan. The rest of them still suck and don't need the credit on this one, lol
-
Glory Daysbaaaaaaaahahahahahaahhahaah the bullpen throws what like two pitches between Smith and Sipp and give up 5 runs.
-

Add this to what you quoted Laley on and you have thoughts expressed by me months ago. All that is why he's my favorite Indian who should have NEVER been sent down, let alone three or four times. SMH! Today's game was more insult to injury, too.vball10set;886493 wrote:plus, from what I understand, he's a great clubhouse guy, he's always busting his ass, and he STAYS HEALTHY!!!! -

OQBDuncan is really putting some stock in his name, I would like to see him as a utility guy next year. He can play first base too!
-
OQBBRF, I was on the Duncan train as well way back when.
-
BRFI firmly believe that the reason Duncan got yo-yo'ed back and forth from Columbus was because of the insistance of carrying some dead weight on the roster by the name of Kearns.
-
OQBI think if Duncan keeps these numbers for the rest of the year, they will keep him and Santana to play 1b.
-
royal_kShelly has been the only bright spot this past week. He's has two games with two HRs this week.
