hoops23Tigers smell blood and are now feasting on the hapless Tribe.
-
hoops23Ok, I'm done watching this BS.
-
Glory Days8-0 still in the 2nd.
-
Glory DaysI hope those boo's arent falling on deaf ears.
-
OQBWow...
-
chippy10if im the tribe i get rid of grady, carmona, and laporta. they are fucking worthless to this team.
-
hoops23If I'm the Tribe, I get rid of Grady and try to re-sign Fukudome to a 1 year deal. He's been nothing but solid since coming over.

Dont know how Choo or Fuk would do in left field. but i can see Choo, Fuk, and Brantley in the OF next year.hoops23;885546 wrote:If I'm the Tribe, I get rid of Grady and try to re-sign Fukudome to a 1 year deal. He's been nothing but solid since coming over. -

Fuk/Brantley/Choo and Carrera as utility OF/spot starter.Glory Days;885549 wrote:Dont know how Choo or Fuk would do in left field. but i can see Choo, Fuk, and Brantley in the OF next year.
Santana to 1B, mainly because we're stuck with Hafner.
I look to trade LaPorta for something. Give Lou some extended time at C, and perhaps look for a 3B. I don't know if Lonnie can play 1B, but the 1B FA class is WEAK outside of the big names (which we're not getting). I'd move Lonnie to 1B and look to either trade for or sign a 3B.
I think Druby and Kipnis are a solid nucleus up the middle. -
MulvaI'd still like to see a right-handed stick, either plugged in at 3rd or in LF. I wouldn't hate bringing Fuk back, but I think it's definitely a spot that could be upgraded.

Same on this end. Its quite depressing.Mulva;885390 wrote:I actually had no idea he was hurt that badly.
It's weird, at the beginning of the year I thought this team would win around 75 games and contend next year. Now the team contended for long stretches this year, but I'm actually less optimistic about what we have going forward. -

Fuk would cost a fortune. Right now, he is the highest paid Indian. If he commands 15 million, then it's sayannarra to Fuk.hoops23;885546 wrote:If I'm the Tribe, I get rid of Grady and try to re-sign Fukudome to a 1 year deal. He's been nothing but solid since coming over. -
HitsRusFukudome 'command' $15 million???...I don't think so!... the guy has 28 RBI's, two less than Sizemore in twice the AB's.
Let's look at our potential outfielders next year...
Fuk, Choo, Brantley, Sizemore, Carrera There's a problem here....ALL lefthand hitters. I would not be surprised to see Choo or Brantley traded and either Fuk or Sizemore let go...although Shapiro seemed to hint that the Tribe WOULD pick up Sizemore's option. Both third basemen are also left handed. Chisenhall is the heir apparent, but the Front office also likes Hannahan. The favorite for 2B next year is ALSO left handed(Kipnis). The team desperately needs a power right handed stick. I think a trade will be made in the offseason, and it may involve some of our favorite players. -

Great points, but there is no way they trade Brantley and Choo. I too really like Hannahan and would like to see him back with us. I think this off-season, they need to Target a right handed outfielder and a corner infielder who is right handed. The only player I see them considering trading are sizemore and LaPorta.HitsRus;885690 wrote:Fukudome 'command' $15 million???...I don't think so!... the guy has 28 RBI's, two less than Sizemore in twice the AB's.

Starting rotation will look like this:
Masterson
Jimenez
Tomlin
Huff
Carmona
Carasco will be out most of the year, probably wont be back til September at the earliest. -

I don't know if Fuk can go to arbitration or not....or how that works. Just saying that he, right now, is the highest paid player on our roster. Is he worth that? Of course not.HitsRus;885690 wrote:Fukudome 'command' $15 million???...I don't think so!... the guy has 28 RBI's, two less than Sizemore in twice the AB's.

LOL. Fuk is not going to cost a fortune. He's on the last year of his mega deal with the Cubs. He's 34, going on 35. He'll be had for cheap. He's a solid hitter, but offers little in terms of power. I just think, given our options, he's a good candidate to keep around.Footwedge;885632 wrote:Fuk would cost a fortune. Right now, he is the highest paid Indian. As for Grady, I've heard rumors that the Tribe would decline his option, but rework a new deal for less money, but offer him the chance to make up the cash based on performance bonuses. -
OQB
Wow, shame on me! Completely forgot about him...he would be in there over Gomez.Mulva;885822 wrote:You don't see Tomlin re-signing? -
hoops23The starting rotation could be very solid. You have to hope Gomez and Huff and continue to improve and pitch like they have recently.
Losing Carrasco hurts, because he's young and showed some great stretches this year. It also hurts our depth. -
wes_mantoothMade the trip to Cleveland for the game last night. by the time we were ready to enter the stadium, the were down 5-0...so we just drank at a bar next door. Go tribe...sigh
-
wes_mantoothAlso, all signs point to Fuk seeking a contract for around 3-5 mil a year....according to some media anyhow
