Yes, when he was hot, lefties made a lot of mistakes to him in the middle of the plate that he didn't miss, but when he is not "hot" he's "easy pickens" for lefties!

I knew I turned the game off at the right time...we just can't beat the Phillies

Glad Lewis got into the game, hopefully Janish can get an AB too.

    Fuck!!!! Here come the Reds!

    Bad bad pitch by Stutes.
  • Tiger2003
Madson will face Bruce, Alonso, and Stubbs in the 9th.
  • mhs95_06
If Red's bullpen and defense can put up a zero in the top of the 9th, and Bruce can lay off and draw a walk, maybe Alonso can hit a walk-off HR!
  • dave
Votto pressing knowing Bruce can't hit right now.

Did Boone just say Bray is a power arm? LOL

Can Massett get the first hitter he faces out?

Reds gonna win in a walkoff

    Don't say that...
  • Tiger2003
Here we go again with Madson, he has not been sharp lately.
  • mhs95_06
First 5 pithes were out of the zone and the ump blew the first one and Bruce blew the 2nd one with a wild swing, but he lucks out with a seeing eye grounder.
  • mhs95_06
Alonso, as well as Bruce, too anxious!
  • Tiger2003
    2 more outs.
  • Tiger2003
    1 more out.
  • Tiger2003
Damn he is so quick he would be a killer if he didn't strike out so much.

How is Stubbs so bad at sliding??

Phillies win game #83. Feel bad for Homer Bailey pitched great tonight but Reds fans have to be very happy that his shoulder looks healthy.

If Bailey can do away with the 1 mental lapse he seems to have every game, he will be a solid pitcher for a long time.

First pitch curveball that was hung to Victorino was the most important play of the game! The previous two pitches to Victorino were great curveballs that struck him out with a 3 ball count. What do you think he is thinking you are going to try to get him out with the next time. The curve ball on the first pitch was not an ill conceived idea by Hanigan, but it has to be a better one than the other two or it has to be close to the ground. Bad failure in execution by Homer! That is several times this year Homer has pitched well deep into a game and got burned by one pitch late. Once you show him the curveball on the first pitch, you then need to get him out on other pitches, unless you get to pitch 8 or 9.

I think that on those close plays it is by design to go in late and hard because that is the quickest way to the bag, but I'm afraid he will have a bad injury from so much of that strategy in the future.

Usually always comes around the 6th or 7th inning too, which sucks cause people will remember that one lapse rather than his whole performance.

He just can't consistently put together a full game.

Classic Reds vs Phillies. Seems to always be a good game but the Reds can't ever come out with the W vs Philly.

I think you're giving him too much credit.
