SportsAndLadyWell that lead lasted long
-
Tiger2003Come on Shane big hit here.
-
mhs95_06Sappelt with a likely 3-run giving misplay!
-
Tiger2003Yep this ump isn't consistent. Same pitch was called a strike then a ball. I like the a good strike zone for a pitcher but don't change it from pitch to pitch.

Even if he catches it, it's still a run scoring play.mhs95_06;876834 wrote:Sappelt with a likely 3-run giving misplay!
And Polanco hasn't singled in 2 yet lol -
SportsAndLadyThat's a great pitch
-
davewow that was a filthy back door hook. Hanigan did an amazing job framing it.

Probably not. If he catches it on the run the Phillies don't sent Mayberry. -
mhs95_06
Great last two 3 ball curveballs to K Victorino makes it only a 1 run misplay, but with quite a few extra pitches caused.mhs95_06;876834 wrote:Sappelt with a likely 3-run giving misplay! -

It was a great pitch but this slapdick of a ump already had his mind up he was going to ring of Shane no matter where the pitch was.dave;876840 wrote:wow that was a filthy back door hook. Hanigan did an amazing job framing it. -
daveWould have been a sac fly
-
Tiger2003Fuck Cole should be perfect though 5.

Not if he got a good jump on the ball he would have caught it running in. The Phillies would not have sent him. -
Ironman92Ridiculous non-error call on Phillips. Kelch said it on the radio and Boone said it on ESPN telecast....that is an error everytime....this is the big leagues...the ball into the web of the glove.....to me it gives him another non-error....but weakens how great he is. The Reds scorekeeper is a joke.....as for his triple....they always call it that way, I don't agree....but whatever. Hamels should be perfect.

Tiger2003Homer is looking real nice tonight.

I would bet my house they would have sent him. Sappelt is untested and the pitcher was coming up with 2 outs. It would have taken a near perfect throw, Mayberry isn't slow.Tiger2003;876855 wrote:Not if he got a good jump on the ball he would have caught it running in. The Phillies would not have sent him. -

I promise you the Phillies don't send him. Bet your house you would lose it. -
Tiger2003Well the Reds get a hit.

sportswizuhrdThom alluded to it earlier that after many people saw Yonder in the line-up tonight, they wondered how long that would last. I myself included. Sounds like a riff is happening between Dusty and Walt...
Sources suggest there has been some difference of opinion over playing time between Reds GM Walt Jocketty and manager Dusty Baker, who has a year to go on his contract. The Reds are over .500 for the first time since early July, but it is curious how much playing time veterans Miguel Cairo and Freddie Lewis are getting in a lost season. Rival execs say they also would have traded Ramon Hernandez before the July 31 trade deadline and employed Devin Mesoraco as catcher. Hernandez was claimed on waivers by a competitor and pulled back by the Reds. He would have helped the Giants, among others.

lol no team is going to pass up a chance to get their first run in a 1-0 game so they can let their pitcher who is hitting .140 bat. at least not a team in first place. maybe the cubs would.Tiger2003;876869 wrote:I promise you the Phillies don't send him. Bet your house you would lose it. -

If he starts in right away off the bat and catches it on the run, it would be close I agree.Tiger2003;876841 wrote:Probably not. If he catches it on the run the Phillies don't sent Mayberry.
But the way Sappelt went back then had to run in and make a diving attempt, no way the Phils don't score.
