Detroit Tigers vs Cleveland Indians series thread

Crimson streakThis is the reason we went out and got Ubaldo. He needs to stop the losing streak. That being said I'm not holding my breathe
-
TBone14This series was doomed from the start of the first ill-advised thread. We have to do our part as well guys. And we dropped the ball.
This is Ublado's game. Down 3.5 on verge of letting it slip away and he has to come in and leave no doubt. 7 innings of 1 run ball and we can get of out town only dropping a game. -
like_thatYou have Trep to fucking blame for this series. WTF was he thinking?
-
wes_mantoothI have zero confidence in ubaldo stopping this free fall
-
iclfan2Does anyone else have a serious problem with Acta? I feel like in the first 50 games his decision making was OK, but since then it has gone downhill tremendously. Starting bums like Valbuena, not using pitchers well, not pinch hitting/running smart, etc. It's like he is lost out there. Obviously he is not fully to blame since we can't hit a damn thing these days, but some of his calls blow my mind. Oh and Hafner is being a complete douche lately.
-
assumptionTiger fan here. We'll trade Leyland for Acta. Leyland plays Ordonez who looks like a beer league softball player. AND, he doesn't use Verlander even tho he has 4 days rest. Your Indians are young, lots of promise. You should remember this. Cleveland was picked at or near the bottom in the central.
-
iclfan2This whole warning the benches thing is garbage. No Ubaldo can't hit someone for the Tiger pitcher being an asshat.
-
TBone14First 3 have reached in the 3rd. 1 run in. Still 2 on and nobody out.
4.5 games out. -
FootwedgeBut...Ufraudo has great stuff.
-
OQBUnbelievable!!!!!
Ubaldo might as well hit Cabrera and get tossed out of the game. -
FootwedgeWorst trade in Indians history. Erases the Rocky Colavito and Harvey Kuenn deal.
-
TBone14Going to cut the grass, tee it up again tomorrow I guess.
-
OQBGod, how many more runs do they have to score before we get the pullpen up and ready?? Geez!
-
Con_AlmaA curse has nothing to do with this teams performance. Before the trade deadline when people were clamoring for trades so that "anything could happen" in the playoffs I told you there wasn't enough talent on this team to be worthy of making big moves.
Look at their winning percentage at the beginning of the year vs the second half. Their divisional place is a result of early year above average pitching and very timely hitting with some key injuries in the second half. -
BlueDevil11Why hasnt a tiger been hit yet?
Jiminez cant throw a strike and if he does it means another run.
HIT SOMEONE!! -
wes_mantoothAgain....so glad he stepped up when we needed him most. Dude is a number three starter at best.

Exactly....atleast do something productive for your teammates! Hit the guy and get the hell out of there!
We are beginning to see this happen.....SMH

BlueDevil11Is there any chance they turn this around? or is this the first nail in the coffin for the tribe's playoff hopes?
-
OQBThey still have 40 games left so A LOT can happen.....BUT you just never know.
Remember, next year is supposed to be our year  -
JerseyBuckIs it still too early to say that this trade was garbage?

nah....we will be under .500 soon. We don't belong if we get swept by the pitching that detroit threw at us -
OQBThis is what I do love about this team.....they NEVER quit no matter how bad the game is going. Plenty of ball game left to still get 1 in the series.
-
OQBWhew! lol
Alright Druby, Show em who the real Cabrera is! -

Amen. Subpar performances in 3 of his first 4 outings. Carmona Part Deux.
