NBA lockout: David Stern suggests contraction

The league won't shit can them because they were 3rd in attendance and makes them some money, or did at least on merchandising.

This reminds me of that time you were cheering against either the Steelers or Penguins because you were upset that other people around that PITTSBURGH area college you attended were loudly cheering for them. Humorous for two reasons: 1. A non-fan of local teams acting surprised/annoyed that local people are big fans of said teams and 2. A fan of the Bankees complaining about fans of any other team being obnoxious.

We're back to THIS again? A majority of the Cavs fans couldn't give a flying fuck THAT he left....it's HOW he left. Disrespecting the city on national TV in an egomaniacal way that he has perfected now making him the most hated figure in sports.

No way the Cavs get contracted, they have no reason to.

The LeBron comments are hilarious...here's a free history lesson: The Cavs were around OVER 30 YEARS before LeBron. Also, as BR said, after what happened with the Browns there is a 0% chance Cleveland lets another team leave.

Agreed. Liked them MUCH more during the "Miracle" and Price/Daugherty years than when Lebron was here.

Not saying the Cavs will or should be contracted. They shouldn't. But there's no way attendance will be like last year.

Cool, I'm not going to address your troll attempts, especially when you're a fucking Lakers fan presumably living in Ohio.

We shall see, I think you'll be suprised.

Cavs will lead the league in attendance next year, book it.

with not a single fan attending a game. Tied with all the other teams.

The Cavs won't be top 3 like last year, but they won't be bottom 10 IMO...they'll be somewhere in the middle despite having one of the larger arenas in the NBA. You can bring up season tickets for the reason that people went to games last year, but there weren't 20,000 season tickets...a lot of people bought single game tickets.

The LeBron era changed the culture of the Cavs in Cleveland as they had struggled to gain attendance after moving from Richfield with such lackluster teams. The 7 years LeBron was here helped usher in a new generation of Cavs fans that aren't simply going to disappear after LeBron left. Plus, I think a lot of people are excited to see how Irving and Thompson look as well as how the Cavs will do coming off of a relatively decent end of the season run.

Yeah right, you just did, even though they are not troll attempts. Just facts.

Are you talking about how they finished 7-15 the last 2 months of the season or the fact they won their last 2 games of the season against the Pistons and the Wizards?

That's why I said relatively decent as compared to the rest of the season. Sorry but Cavs games aren't just a collection of bandwagoners creaming themselves to see celebrities sitting courtside, people enjoy the basketball. Attendance last season proves as much....you can spin it any way you like but the proof is in the hard statistics....something your arguments lack.

Translation: "I have nothing to respond back to hoops' FACTS, so I will just throw out complete bullshit in attempt to back up my argument, because I have no fucking clue what I am talking about."

Yeah, I wanted to spend my money on cavs games to show LeBron! We sure showed him! GTFO idiot troll.

lol not surprised this little guy had to chime in. This guy can't help but get off to threads that turn into LeBron/Cavs trolling threads. I am sure Jordo typed this response with one hand.

Like I have to explain to you why I am a Laker fan, like I really care what you think.

I wonder if this is your story. "My grandpa was a Cavs fan and my Dad was a Cavs fan, we all live in Ohio so I have to be a Cavs fan."

Yeah, its called actually having a connection with your team/sense of pride and not being a cop out pussy by choosing the best team available. nice fail.

The sports gods are always watching. They actually didn't deliberately tank though. Once Kevin Love was out for the last 20+ games, they just fell apart.

Pick6;865774 wrote:how did "tanking" work out for them? LOLfail

    How is he "failing"?

He said the Cavs would have had the worst record (they did, for most of the season btw) if Minnesota didn't tank...which they clearly did losing something like 18 of their last 20 games, and who can really blame them?
