NBA lockout: David Stern suggests contraction

  • Skyhook79
Would you really be able to tell any difference if the Cleveland Cavs were contracted?

I would go back to 24 teams with 4 Divisions, 2 in each conference, and 6 teams in each division. Then the talent level wouldn't be so watered down.

You realize the majority of this board are Cavs fans right? Nice trolling fail.
  • Mark Mack
The Cavs are going to be one of the teams at the bottom of the list in terms of being contracted.

I am in favor of NBA contraction.......contract the entire league.
  • BR1986FB
After what happened with the Browns (Baltimore stealing them and the uproar that followed), the NBA would have to have balls as big as Texas to try to contract the Cavs.

First thing stern needs to do is stop dumping money into the wnba.

The nba is a shitty product, but losing money with the all dyke league is dumb.

There are about 5 real Cavs fans the rest were just Lebron nuthuggers/bandwagon fans that disappeared when Lebron did.

At risk of being called a troll, but wasn't attendance good last year because Gilbert forced ticket holders to buy 2 years of tickets? So last years tickets were sold while LeBrick was still a Cav and fans had hopes of him being resigned.

The real test will be to see how attendance is THIS year...the first year tickets go on sale without LeIdiot.

Pretty much....attendance will be way down. I like irving, but he doesn't seem like a "draw"

It's an expensive pr move for the
NBA, but I agree fuck the wnba.

The league won't shit can them because they were 3rd in attendance and makes them some money, or did at least on merchandising.
And you aren't tired of hearing about your beloved Yankees?

The Cavs aren't going anywhere. Not as long as Gilbert is the owner.

The Kings and Raptors are the 2 that come to mind for me.

    This the Kings especially.

There's a zero percent chance they get rid of the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Toronto and Sacramento will go long before they even touch Cleveland.
  • Nate
What about a team like the Pacers? They were last in attendance last year. (By home attendance)

Basketball isnt leaving Indiana. I no way. Not that it matters, but Bird being in charge makes this a certainty.

Yeah if basketball isn't leaving charlotte because of MJ it wouldn't leave Indiana either with Bird there and since Indiana is basketball.

We went through this last season... There were not 20,000 season ticket holders. So what's your reasoning behind all the single game ticket sales the Cavs experienced last season?

    1. People wanting to show Lebron they don't care he left even though they do.
    2. Nothing else to do in Cleveland in the winter
    3. Cav Cheeleaders
