Reds @ Cubs....Game 3
-
Ironman92Fun Facts?
There are 16 National League Teams.....the Reds are ahead of only 4 of them.
If the Reds were in the NL East....they'd be tied for last.
The flipping Buccos have lost NINE consecutive games....yet are still ahead of the Reds.
IMO this team is behind expectations more than any other team in major league baseball. -
zach24ozWho are the possible considerations for manager next year because this should be Dusty's last year.
-
se-alumUnfortunately, I don't think they let Dusty go. Although I'm not sure he and Jocketty are on the same page.
-
Ironman92Fay says not a chance...but I think he is pretty much not a given the choice on that particular controversy.
-
Ironman92vbookie thread up....yawn
-
TigerNation10Will Sappelt start? Hmmm...
-
TigerNation10Sappelt lf
Renteria ss
Votto 1b
Bruce rf
Frazier 3b
Stubbs cf
Hanigan c
Janish 2b
Arroyo p -
zach24ozWhy cant Renteria play 2nd instead of Janish? Because he has more range and is better defensively than Janish?
-
Ironman92Both suck at SS....doesn't matter.
-
Ironman92If I could bet on vbookie from my phone I'd put everything on the Cubs.
-
mhs95_06Stubbs heavy bat runs into a 87 mph sinker thigh high on the outer third. 1-0 Reds.
-
mhs95_06Bronson throws 7 pitches outside to Colvin with two out and two on. Ump gives a gift strike on one of them and Colvin fouls two off, but Colvin finally takes the walk and Wells strikes out to end the bases loaded threat.

They only scored one on that. Castro homered to lead off the inning -
Midstate01Frazier hits a 2 run bomb. 3-2 reds
-
mhs95_06Stubbs looked like he did everything right on that fly in the sun. He had his sun glasses on(which do no good when the ball is right in the middle of the sun which it must have been when he went for it) and played it from the side as long as he could(was still well off to the side when he tried to catch it. You could see the shadows were lined right up with the direction of the sun and the flight of the ball. Maybe Stubbs could have discussed with Sappelt prior to the inning that Sappelt would have a better angle to handle balls that hung up in LCF, and then hollered for him to get it as the ball was still well up in the air.

mhs95_06Wells saves Janish a stressful AB!

Would Alonso have come within 25' of that ball?
